Grandmother-to-be loves it
I bought this book of grandmother rules for my mother, who will become a grandmother in a few weeks. She read this cover-to-cover while I (the aunt-to-be) sat in a nearby chair. When she wasn't quoting from the book, she would range from quiet agreement (mmm hmmm) to outright laughter.The author has 2 children, one boy and one girl, and both have their own children. She writes from a point of view (whether its correct or not, is up to the reader to decide), that you need to give space to the other set of grandparents, that you may have a different sort of relationship with your son's children than your daughter's children, and understands that some adult children act as if they are parental experts (and whether grandparents should respect their wishes).Easy to read, funny, honest, and full of ideas to do with grandchilden (take listening walks). Highly recommended and suitable for grandpas, too.

I’ll be a Grandma in a few short months. I read this book and cracked up with laughter. I WILL be the perfect Grandma now. This book is the best!

A fast read and enjoyable too! I can relate after spending time with two grandkids in France. Perfect antidotes and advice for new grandparents.

Finally - 'Nana' gets it!
This little book was very helpful with my frustrations and gave me a better understanding of where my place is. It made me laugh and gave me several ah-ha moments. I was extremely close to my own Mother-in-law, so I couldn't figure out why things were going as they were when my son had children. This is a must have for the Grandma on Daddy's side.
