I had recently purchased 0603 sample kits from Mouser & Digikey, but needed some additional capacitor & resistor values. Quickly. On a whim, I went to Amazon and searched for SMD component kits. The VxW kit came up, and just based on what I typically pay for components kits from larger electronics distributors, the VxW was less than half the price. In a sense, it seemed like too low a price to be believable, but a low enough price to say "nothing ventured, nothing gained". After the kit arrived, I have to admit, I am very impressed, The sample book format is very compact, nicely put together, and clearly labeled. VxW has reset my expectations as to what a component kit should be. As I write this, I'm going through some of their other offerings to find out what other gems they might offer.

The product arrived exactly as described; 8500 resistors in a nice organized binder. Fifty resistors of each value, organized from lowest to highest, each value clearly labeled. The range of values is wider than I need and many values will never be used, but that is common for assorted kits; be it O-Rings, drill bits, or resistors.

Very well made resistor book with soft leather like cover. Small size for easy storage. Excellent range and number of resistors that are clearly marked. Easy to track which ones you are about to run out of. Will last a long time as it is durable. I love it!

Convenient package for me, since I do random projects. Though I wish I would have read the description better. I got the "practical" 0603 book, and it would be practical if not for the very limited capacitor selection. Like I said, however, that's on me, for not having read the description well enough before buying.

This is great to have around if you are doing any SMD prototyping. It has all popular values in a very handy format. Just the labor to put something like this together is well worth the price. It saves you the time of ordering all the different parts from Digikey or Mouser, then saves you the time of trying to find the actual part you need in the box when you are trying to make something.

I am using similar binders for 0805 and 0603 resistors/capacitors for some time so this was a natural progression. The product arrive in reasonable time seems to be of decent quality, and the strips are clearly marked. I didn't bother to measure the components, just assuming they are right, similar to what I have done with my 0805 and 0603 collections.

I like the album organization style for these small parts. The kit is handy although I wish there were one with 1% resistors since usually I want a very specific, accurate value for prototyping. For the price and convenience this is a great kit.

Great addition to my spare parts "bin". Started using surface mount parts as much as possible in my personal projects a couple of years ago but never dawned on me that I could get something like this from Amazon. Ordered this kit while debugging a signal integrity issue and needed several values to tweak a terminator. This little book is awesome. Well organized and labeled. My only regret is that I wish I would have found this a long time ago.
