Easy to install. Works flawlessly.

Aqara home app on iPhone appears to be incapable of adding this device to a Home.But the Apple Home app gets it right the first time.So ignore the dopey Aqara app and go straight to Apple home if you use HomeKit.Don’t know if this widget actually does much — we shall see.

Replaced the M2 hub. Seamlessly works with Eve matter based devices and aqara locks and other devices.

I use Apple Homekit and I already have an Apple TV as the Home Hub. I have always been interested in adding some Aqara and Zigbee sensors and I was ready to invest in an Aqara Hub M3. When I learned that the Aqara Hub M100 was released, it just made more sense to get it instead of an M3 as I was not planning to add a large number of Aqara or Zigbee devices. Setup was easy. Found an unused USB-A wall charger and plugged it in. Downloaded the Aqara Home app and added Hub M100. It only took minutes and the M100 showed up in HomeKit Home Settings as a Aqara M100 bridge. This is truly a very cost-effective way to add a few Aqara or Zigbee devices to your HomeKit setup.

If you only use Aqara devices, this is probably ok for the price. If you use non-Aqara zigbee devices, or are looking to integrate it with your smart home setup using Home Assistant, you will be disappointed. Aqara really should have put more effort (and documentation) into the supposed Home Assistant integration, as well as made this usable as a zigbee extender and compatible with other zigbee devices. Right now I have no use I've found for this as it is.

Adding the hub to the Aqara app was not without effort—I had to disable the 5GHz band in my WAP. The hub is supposed to support Home Assistant, but no setup instructions were provided, and HA didn't see it. I had a generic Zigbee switch and tried to pair it—nope. (It paired instantly to Tuya with the MOES hub.) 5.2.2025 : Plugs into a USB and should give you the ability to control zigbee devices. Should allow your home assistance server to control zigbee by simply plugging this into your home server. I will need to play with this a bit more before I update, I'm new to home assistant, and do not have zigbee devices yet, but definitely see them as the preferred method for smart switch control.

I’ve been using this for a few days now and I’m honestly impressed. It’s simple, works just like it should, and feels pretty sturdy. I wasn’t sure if I’d actually need it at first, but it turned out to be really handy. Shipping was fast too. Would definitely recommend!
