HYDROMETER - ALCOHOL, 0-200 PROOF and Tralle by Bellwether

INCREDIBLY fragile. Broke the first time I tried to gently wash it. So I ordered another. It arrived broken, despite being in the plastic tube/case.When I tried to tell Amazon that it had arrived broken, the automated system said it was "Not Eligible for Return or Refund".Well, that just pissed me off. So I wrote Amazon *outside* of the automated return system and they issued a refund anyway, plus a little bit extra for the first one.I cannot recommend this product. And don't accept that there's nothing that can be done if yours arrives broken.

Arrived in a broken mess, unusable. Could be a good product, but I'd never know. Tried to return & it has a no returns policy, very sad. Packaging was fine, the glass was intact. The inner workings had spilled all around the product & were stuck to the inner glass throughout & some of it was absorbing into the paper measure inside.

I picked it up out of the package and it instantly popped. This is very poorly made. I work in a lab with fragile glassware, so I was extra careful and it still popped from picking it up. The glass must be so thin that a light touch breaks it.Maybe I got a bad example of the product, and the quality control is just bad, but since there's no returns I won't know.

incredibly fragile and it was not even weighed out properly, when i tested water it was off by 6 tralles. the wax they use for weights had a hole in the middle and there was extra weights above the wax. not only that but it broke in 3 uses. this product is not worth the money as it is a piece of junk. i cant even use it as a paper weight.

Came in broken, no way of returning it

Arrived in package that was well cushioned but the hydrometer was broken at the top thin neck part. The glass is very thin so it's not very rugged to begin with. It's of no use if I can't use it. Thumbs down on shipping and handling.

I bought this to measure the ABV of my home brew. The hydrometer will not measure apple jack, wine or beer. This will only measure pure distilled alcohol. I can see that this would be a great item if I lived off the grid and wanted to produce a very high quality "cash only" product. I did not notice the warning. I really can't complain. This thing probably works great for it's intended purpose. I just can't fault a manufacturer for my mistake. It does say what it will not measure. Next time I'll read ALL the advertisement. I'm going to order a different type of measuring device.

I'm sure if it did not arrive shattered it would be great. The pieces looked nice. It was shipped poorly.
