I was looking for an alternative to rawhide (I've seen & heard way too many horror stories about rawhide lately, so we are done w that) & heard about himalayan yak cheese rind. When I first began looking into it they were expensive, but in the last couple of years the 'yak cheese' vendors have increased dramatically. This brought the price down slightly, but has flooded the market w/ cheap imposters, too. After careful consideration I chose this Jack & Pup brand because it seemed like the best choice for quality & cost effectiveness. It was a good choice! The bag contains 3 decent sized treats (about 5" - 6" ea) & it takes my medium sized cattle dog about 2 days to work his way thru one. I like this WAY better than rawhide because it didn't make my dog choke or gag. Also, the yak cheese doesn't break off into sharp edges like some treats do. My dog is anxious, & having something to chew on seems to make him feel better, so I'll prob buy these again.

If I need my dog to be distracted for a bit, I throw him one of these and I'm golden! He is obsessed with these and can keep busy for awhile! I only wish they were slightly cheaper and came in smaller pieces. I have a small Chipin so he struggles with the size of the pieces that originally come in the package so I normally cut them in half. The only bad part about that is that they are super strong so it really takes a sharp knife and some skill to cut these without flinging small pieces across the room! But he seems to really like the taste and even though he is not a big chewer, these seem to satisfy his desire to chew and salivate on something. I would highly recommend!

We recieved these in exchange for an honest opinion. This was only the second time my two boys' had tried Himalayan Cheese Chews, and they LOVE them! I've already bought a bag, as they went through the review bag. Bodie is 17lbs and Zeke is 12lbs, and they can handle these easily, and do not go through them quickly. They chew on them for at least an hour at a time. What I love, is that these chews by Jack and Pup do not stink, and there is minimal mess left behind. We also recieved the bully sticks and the cow ears, but these are by far the favorite choice. Even our youngest cat was trying to steal it and carry it around. Would recommend anything by this brand, but if you can only buy one thing, its these! I recommend these to everybody.(@brothers.goodboy on Instagram)

We adopted a so-called 'chewy and toy destroying' pup, but were a bit disappointed when the slew of toys we purchased were left in tact days following the adoption. We figured she was adjusting and trying to get comfortable in her new home, but we wanted to see her having her chewy fun! She slowly warmed up and we found a few baby teeths on the floor from taking to only the tennis balls. Once I brought these home, it was game over! Our sweet girl spent about two hours trying her best to destroy said stick, but it remains intact. She loves loves loves her Himalayan Yak Cheese - thank you, Jack&Pup! Will order again once this pack is gone. Which probably won't be any time soon...

My dog loves these and they usually last a long tome which is great for him (and me) since he is a power chewer! But I was a little disappointed because there were only 3 chews in the bag when usually there are 4 for the same price. Also it did not last nearly as long as previous ones I have ordered.

Our mini golden doodle puppy (about 8 months) loves to chew! We avoid getting rubber chews since she chewed through one once (yikes!). We have tried several different dental chews and chewing products, but she doesn’t care for them wasting $$$. We tried a Himalayan Yak Dog chew with another company - she surprisingly liked it! Oddly enough, she only liked half the bag (not sure why)... so, we figured we would try a different brand. She LOVES these! She chews on them instantly and frequently. Definitely will be reordering these. Also, was impressed with the consistent of size of each chew.

I have a power chewer who destroys nylabones, Benebones, and other non-edible bones. I worry about how much he actually eats when they aren’t digestible, as he gnaws them down quickly. But these chews are digestible. He didn’t take to them immediately, but once he started in on one - he was hooked. The only downside is the crumbs left behind can be messy and hurt to step on. But it’s a small price to pay for peace of mind when I know he’s chewing on something safer for him.

I can’t give this product a down-rating because my dog doesn’t go bananas over them. You get what’s described, and plenty of it.My suggestion to the company, if they read these reviews, would be to not cut them into rectangles. The product is EXTREMELY hard and might be more enjoyable for pups to chew on if there werent sharp corners. I actually think that’s why my dog prefers other treats to gnaw on.
