We used light for camping and also will use on our evening walks in our dark streets. Light was very bright, much to my surprise as it uses 3AA batteries, but lasted the entire 5 nights camping, probably even longer. We like the unique design of the handle being able to change to a hanging position, as other equivalent brand lights don’t have that. This was helpful to be able to use it as flashlight, which projected at least 50 ft ahead and we had to be careful not to shine into neighboring campers. The only thing that we didn’t like is it can’t be used as table light to play games because of the high intensity glare from the bright lightbulbs that is blinding to ones eyes that made it difficult to see the board game. Overall these are excellent well-made lights and we were very happy with them that we bought an extra set as gifts.

Versatile with good lighting. Sturdy - dropped a few times with no damage aside from battery cover popping off. If I did have a wish, it would be a larger battery compartment for say 6 AAs instead of the 3. Though it does last fairly long on the 3 so not a big issue.

These certainly are not high quality in design or materials, but they'll do lite duty around the house or camp. The description and some of the reviews say "super bright". THEY ARE NOT, but they're fine for illuminating the inside of a tent or walking a dark path. The included batteries are somewhat smaller than regular AA batteries so I assume they won't last long. Pack some spares if you take them camping. All in all, 2 lights for $11 are fine for the kids. I'll give them 4 stars for the price.

My first review of this product was so so and I am changing it in all sanity. I bought a pair of other Store (sold) lanterns 3 of them 180 lumens a few dollars more than these pair. We took all of them, including the Goo Hike COB LED lights to a recent camping trip. These lantern - lights are far better than the other ones. You need to really use them in the dark with new batteries. Very powerful. They are really good and the best part of it is that you can use as lanterns and flashlights. Our kids loved these too. They might not be heavy duty for the price, but they are definitely worth the money and all home and camping trips. Especially, when hiking in the back country, you don't want to add wait to your back pack. These are just perfect.

I purchased these after having had a power outage. I wanted to replace my previous lanterns which were large, cumbersome and took four expensive D batteries apiece for a very dim light. These are lightweight and give a very bright light with only three AA batteries apiece of which I always have a large stock on hand. These have a dual function. They can be used as bright flashlights or lanterns which can illuminate a small room and be read by, a compact and brilliant bit of engineering. The battery compartment is easily accessible, and I know I could replace the AAs in the dark.

I like it very well, I dont feel too heavy in my hand. This is the first point.Second,It is very bright. I did an experiment in the room at night. It illuminates the entire room. Of course, there is no special bright spot away from the distance. Third,It can have two forms. One is a camping light, and the other is a hand-held flashlight, which is very convenient. I really like this design to distinguish it from other camping lights on the Amazon.In summary, it seems to me that this is a good product and the price is relatively affordable.

Purchased for electrical outages. Plenty of light output. Would like the ability to dim the light but can somewhat adjust output by changing the height opening. It's so bright you can't look at it directly. Wish the clear lense was diffused to soften the output. Otherwise great for light when electricity goes out or other uses.

Actually keep one in a truck glove box (a little big) and the other is in a fishing tackle bag. Was quite surprised when it was pulled out when it got dark when fishing at the amount of light it did throw. Pleasantly surprised. Have used them as both lantern and flashlight. Gave off a ton of light. Yes I would buy again.
