Flink Badminton Tracker

Awesome product. Came across this item in an AD in Facebook.I was apprehensive about shelling out 3500 bucks for a badminton sensor. However, it didn't disappoint. 1 day of use and here goes my review.The main body is quite slim and fits perfectly on the end of the racquet shaft. In my opinion the silicone holder is better than the adhesive holder. The silicone holder cups the Flink tightly with the shaft and in turn protects it from crashes. The ruggedness of Flink is yet to be tested. ( I don't want to deliberately do a crash test though :) ).Coming to the effect of Flink on the grip/ hold of the shaft. It sits nicely at the end of the shaft and the silicone holder in no way hinders the hand grip. It just fits perfectly and while playing you won't even feel that something extra is there on the shaft. As Flink is very light weight, it doesn't add up to the racquet weight.Functionality : The body connects to the app quite quickly. The app is quite simple and not at all convoluted. Very minimal screens and not clotted with irrelevant information. The app also has a live view which shows the live swing details of the racquet.Gave an empty hard swing to the racquet and the live view quite perfectly showed the swing details. It also categorizes the swing as drop, smash, clear, etc which is quite informative.Flink perfectly recorded two hours of my game information. On syncing it with the app it displayed the swing information of the last two hours. So you don't have to worry about Bluetooth connectivity while playing.The app screens are quite few. The numbers shown even though informative and helpful but makes you keep wanting for more. Some more analytics into the app would be great. Currently it shows the swing details of the day and the average swing details. Lot can be improved in the app front. I'm not aware whether the app syncs and saves my swing information into my Google account. That would be helpful. Give the user an option to sign out and login using another account so that someone else can try it out and sync their data.Overall, satisfied with the item. Happy for shelling out 3500 for this. The Spelmera team were quite helpful and made sure the item got delivered. The item was couriered through DTDC so be rest assured that it will get delivered on time.Thanks a lot team for the awesome product, and also for your assistance. The battery doesnt last much. I had to buy extra silicone holders. The other anchor/holder fell off. The data gathered is good, but the interface and the presentation of the data is so limited that it hardly helps you. Takes time to charge. Light indicators are very complex. You have to sync after every session, else 2 session's data comes up as 1 one session. Lot of positives too, the unit is very light, hardly changes the weight. Too costly for the value it delivers.

Product came fine! But their app doesn't work. It doesn't sign or register. So there is no point in buying this. I am returning it. Before you think about buying it, please check the recent reviews and the Playstore reviews for their app. I should have checked them before buying.

This is an awesome device it helps me track my game on court n helps me improve my game n weak points in my game, I would recommend this device to anybody who wants to improve their game look wise it is simple n easy to install on racket, loved it

There are few comments about this device:1. The main device is solid built and light weight. But there are some issues with connectivity. Sometimes the app cannot find the device, and sometimes even if finds it cannot connect. In some cases I had to try 5-6 times to connect it.2. The plastic holder is light weight but the adhesive tape is provided is not of good quality. The holder comes out often. Thought Flink claims that it will not come out if we attach it 24hrs before playing. But I feel the answer is not reliable. I am using this device around a month and it has come out at least 7-8 times. And finally one day the holder broke. Now I cannot use the device.3. The silicon holder may not be comfortable while playing those who holds at the end of racket. I found it uncomfortable so I do not use it.4. There is a big issue with battery. It hardly lasts for 2-3 hours. If a player is playing everyday like me then the player needs to charge it everyday.5. The Flink app is simple and easy to understand. But there are rooms of improvement.a. First of all it should not be mandatory to use Facebook account to connect it. Even if the customer wants to use without any log into any account it should be possible.b. the app logs details based on day only, no time of the day. For example, if a player is playing morning and evening and if the player wants to check the performance at morning and evening from the app it is not possible.

Pros:1. It analyses your badminton play and displays detailed analysis according to your playing style. If you have a coach, or if you are good enough to analyse the same and modify the playing style and improve yourself.2. Made/Make in India.3. What I like is the team want to hear from us, they asked to fill a review form and once it's done a representative called me and asked my concerns and noted the issues I am facing. What I see is a good customer-producer relationship and the company wants to keep that too.Cons:1. Its a costly version of a Chinese brand. But that one having so many issues, I think we can trust this one.2. Battery, you need to charge the device every day if you are playing 2 hours/day.3. Always do check the company site. Sometimes you might catch the price difference between the site and the Amazon price, even both are handling the same company.

I have been using the product. I'm not really happy with it, especially the app. I was hoping for some features that would help me improve my game, such as specific suggestions on what shot to play more, some specific movements or exercises to improve speed of shot etc. I also had issues once or twice with sync and also it seems to be lacking a notification for low battery.Pros - doesn't interfere with your game at all. Before buying was worried about the device falling off but the silicone holder is a genius design and does its job fantastically
