Evocel Explorer Series Pro Phone Case Compatible with LG G Stylo 4 (2018) with Glass Screen Protector and Belt Clip Holster, Blue

I first bought a New Generation Evocel case back for the Stylo 1 in 2016. It lasted for almost a year and a half before one of the hard corners finally snapped off. For $8.99, that ain't bad considering I moved furniture for a living at the time and my phone was always in my pocket.It came time to finally upgrade to the Stylo 4 and I figured I'd go with Evocel again as their cases are affordable and good quality. Seeing that they had the new Explorer Series Pro cases for about $5 more, I figured why not upgrade to this beast. Firstly, I see some reviewers saying they had trouble getting the phone into the case. I feel like in those instances they probably did not deconstruct the case completely, because for me, getting the phone in the case is the easy part. That being said, getting the case completely deconstructed to put your phone in(case is fully assembled upon arrival) is a bit of a pain. Deconstructing the case with your phone in it is even harder. There are no instructions, tips or even a tool(or tips to what tool could be useful) to help get it apart, before or after.For $12.99 though, this thing is surprisingly solid and secure. I really was impressed how tight and snug the case was around my Stylo 4. The case also feels heavy duty, like it can take a decent beating and is much more impressive than the Evocel New Generation case(which was great) I had on my Stylo 1. I also enjoy that that the charge port and headphone port have fitted rubber coverings to protect them that you can pull open to use. The design of the case is very smart, both the microphone pick ups on the bottom and top of the phone have nice openings around them while the stylus and speaker are nicely outlined without giving up too much protection.The rubber insulated buttons for the power and volume are a bit stiff, but provide great protection. The camera and finger print reader are well defined. I must also note that around the screen, the case is raised and allows the phone to fall down without the screen ever touching. The clip on cover clasps nicely around the case and feels strong. Going along with thought out design, the the clasp portions of the cover are shorter on one side, which makes for getting the Stylus out easier(come to think of it, that may have been coincidence.)However, the compliments of how snug the case fits has also worked against it in my experience as well. When ready to put your Stylo 4 in this case, be sure to have already put on your screen protector and inserted your SD card, because taking the case apart multiple times caused me to put a crack in the hard colored shell. It's only a slight crack and the case snaps together so tightly it's actually hard to even tell there is one, but I did damage the shell pulling the case apart several times by hand.I know the damage is self inflicted, however it would be helpful I think, if Evocel included some advice on how to put the phone in the case and/or how to pull it apart in a way least likely to damage the case(as simple as recommending a standard household tool maybe). I realize at $12.99, the case is not hard to replace, but cracking the shell on the first day was a bit frustrating. My only other criticism of the case is the color of the gold isn't as dark as the image, however it's still a nice gold and black contrast.All that aside, if you follow those steps, this case feels very good and worth every bit of it's price. I feel like if I can find a way to take the case off safely with a small tool, the case will last quite some time. It could even last until I upgrade to my next phone, which I don't do every generation myself. I absolutely recommend this case regardless.

Only problem is the stand to keep it up gets pushed in too easily

I have Pros and Cons for this case. I love EVOCEL with their line of LG Stylo cases. I've bought 7 cases for the LG Stylo 3 and those were very good and served me well and made good gifts. And this is my first case for the LG Stylo 4 and its great. Their cases are very good looking, they are simplistic yet so bold. I love the range of colors but it would be great if they added more colors. Your phone will feel very sturdy and firm to the grip and unbreakable. The material is very durable. Now it does seem like the back plate is a bit brittle but its use is to be on the phone along side the other pieces which make it all together sturdy. Another thing is that i did have some trouble putting my phone inside the case because of the plastic trim inside the rubber part. Instructions would be helpful to have. The screen protector was very easy to install onto the phone. Clean your phone screen very well for the best application and look to your phone. And try to keep it centered on your phone. And be careful applying it to because it can break if bended too much. This is a great phone case for the price. The belt phone holder is a good touch to the phone for those who use it. The ports at the bottom are closed with small flaps which is great as it doesn't allow for dirt to build up. Pen is kind of hard to get if you have large fingers but it works. The kickstand works great with the magnet.Pros-looks great, very sturdy,color options are good, price, material, does its job to protect, kickstand works like a charm. Packaging is nice comes with paper you can fold into a plane.Cons-Kind of difficult to place phone inside and take out, would be nice to have instructions as the previous generation had no plastic trim inside rubber part. Pen kind of difficult to remove. Maybe add more colors to the line.This isn't a con for me but maybe others, the plastic parts look like there metal which is cool but have a very plastic feel but it really isn't bad. I recommend this case for your stylo 4.

The only problem is once it’s on(easy)you will almost break your phone to get it off for any reason. It is wayyyyy toooo hard to remove. The look is great but come on guys you know this was going to be a problem. I wouldn’t buy it again Because it is just to hard to remove. I literally had to stick a sharp object down the side of the phone to remove it, you will not take it off with your fingers that’s s way too hard for a product . I give it a good review because of the product itself but use Usability of the product is not very good.( Bad very bad) if I can go less then one star I would just for the remove. It will break your phone. I cracked my glass protector trying to remove it…. Be careful!!!!
