Green Leaf WW3D Wonder Extension Cord Winder, Gray, 150 Foot

I bought this for a Father’s Day gift and he absolutely loves it. It keeps the extension cord from being on the floor, laying around having to try to wound it up or do something with it all the time it keeps everything neat and tidy it’s awesome!!

What I like about this product is you leave one end of the extension cord plugged in all the time and just pull out what you need. It’s simple, inexpensive and well made. Easily winds a 100’ 14 gauge extension cord even in cold weather. It comes with 2 mounting systems, a fixed bracket and a swivel bracket. Both are strong and stable. This Wonder Winder replaces one I bought about 30 years ago. At some point one of the crank bearing washers fell off the old one and, while it still worked, it was a pain. Wonder Winder sells all the parts to repair but the shipping costs were a deal breaker, so I ordered a brand new one from Amazon. The quality is at least as good as the original if not better.

I am SUPER impressed with this cord holder. I’ve used many different retractable holders and they’ve all sucked. They either don’t hold enough cord, they whip around when retracting or the rewind mechanism breaks and they become garbage. This thing assembled in minutes and works great! It holds 150’ of cord no problem and retracts very easily. There were two things people didn’t like and I think the newest model addresses and fixes both.Sway vs mounted: Some people don’t like the unit to pivot on the wall and preferred the static 90 deg mount. You get BOTH in the box and can choose. I went with pivot and it works great. No issues at all. Both are heavy duty and come with large screws for mounting into 2x4.The clutch: Many people didn’t like that you had to push hard on the clutch to put pressure on the wheel to retract the cord. It must be fixed because it takes less than a finger’s worth of pressure to retract. No issues at all.I LOVE this cord holder and would absolutely recommend!

I was very skeptical at first if this cord winder works at all. After a year of use I must say it does work very good actually. It is not recommended for commercial use, but at a home shop, garage, hangar etc. it is perfect. I am not sure how long it will last, but it is working just fine for a year now when I have been once or twice a week operating it. I am just about to order a second one of this for my new garage, so it is wort buying. Make sure that you unroll and straighten the entire cord at first, then it winds it up just amazingly. If the cord is twisted when winding it up, it gets winded up uneven and you will get frustrated. If you do it right the entire cord will wind up nicely along the basket's wall, making sure that even a long cord fits into it. Getting the cord wind up nicely is more important for when you pull the cord out for use. It will come out of the basket very smooth, easily and straight.

I am still a little skeptical but a well engineered item is one that just works and this just works. It seems to be a very lightweight and simple concept, a funnel directs the cord into a wheel you turn, you press on the other piece to push the cord against the wheel for friction, and then it all just magically spools itself nicely into the fishnet below.If this were $10 more, I’d complain about the fact that you need to push on something while spinning something else, and that even when you are pushing hard it can lose grip on the cord requiring you to manually readjust the cord. For that extra $10 I would expect a spring tensioned set of wheels above and below the spinning wheel to keep sufficient friction on the cord. Maybe they’ll make a pro version with some improvements and charge a little more, but this one isn’t $10 more.No bells or whistles and it isn’t perfect but it works well and is easy to correct for the blips and skips when winding back up. Fits my needs well. The open storage area will allow a wet cord to dry easily and drip out without anything there to rust, and the cord pulls out so effortlessly that it won’t unplug from what you are using if you didn’t pull out enough and hit the end.

The instructions and images were so crappy I wasted too much time trying to get it together.This is very overpriced. Even if the instructions were clear, it’s still only worth $19.99 - at best.There is a part called the yoke that does not insert easily. This product is shipped with what appears to two wheels. One is not a wheel or part of the winding mechanism. Lousy instructions are the hallmark of low quality products. There is no image of how it is to be installed. The directions simply state to install it. No mention of the wheels that prevent that from happening. One “wheel” has to be removed. It’s a wall mount.The mesh basket is cheap and will likely disintegrate if you actually used this product. Amazon has a loser with this one. It’s not worth the money even if it worked for a few days or weeks.I could not have anticipated the lack of quality or the terrible instructions. This is an inferior product that probably gets sent back often. Keep in mind that a retractable reel takes up much less space. This requires more space for the mesh bag.

Product works ok… problem is they say it accepts 12awg and 150ft. They don’t say it will handle 150ft of 12awg. I was left with 30ft still out of the basket

I was very suspicious at first as the product looked rather flimsy. Was pleasantly surprised. Very easy to set up. Has eliminated the problem of tangled 100 ft electrical cords in my garage. Highly recommend

This is the second one of these cord winders I’ve owned. Same design and functionality as the original. The only improvement I can suggest is including two of the same mounting options instead of two different ones. They’re not interchangeable so it’s a bit of a hassle switching back and forth but not a deal breaker. Otherwise it’s a great product!
