Amazing for money! A little slow though
This is no doubt worth the money! I have the Apple brand SD card reader and the only difference is the speed. Of course the Apple one is quite a bit faster but the price out ways the speed any day!

I think I figured it out
Plugged the 128 GB Sandisk Extreme PRO 95 MB/s SD card with 24 GB worth of photos into the adapter. Then I plugged the adapter into my iPhone 8 Plus which had over 200 GB of free space. The photos on the SD card would pop up on my phone and give me the option to import, but that screen would disappear in less than 30 seconds. Unplugged and replugged the adapter and tried acting quickly this time to import photos but was only able to import 5 photos before the import screen disappeared.I tried plugging in a USB cable from my Sony A7iii into the adapter hoping to transfer directly, but I got the “This accessory requires too much power” error. I tried both USB C and micro, same error.Then I switched over to an older 4GB capacity Sandisk SD card with 2 pictures on it and the import screen never disappeared. I was ready to return this item until for some reason I decided that I would try the 128 GB SD card again but this time I would also have a lightening cable connected from my Anker external battery to the adapter and have it charging while I tried importing. I was able to stay on the import screen for as long as I wanted (~5 minutes) and imported test photos.I tried using an iPad as well and I didn’t need to have it charging while trying to import so I’m guessing it’s a voltage issue that was causing the iPhone 8 Plus to prematurely lose connection to the SD card reader. Hopefully this helps others out since it’s half the price of the Apple SD card reader, but I wish the company did the testing and was able to provide this information.

I can use this to view the videos but I cannot transfer them to my phone permanently

This is half the price or more from the apple one and it works just as good plus you get all the extra portsthat apple doesnt give you this works everytime i plug it in not like some of the others Ive tried. I highly recomend thisCamera and Movie card reader for your apple products

Does what I need
Works for what I need it for, I take product pictures with my camera & transfer them to my iPad. Easy plug and play. Works with a standard SD card. No problems with uploading pictures. Even though there’s a micro SD slot IT WILL NOT WORK I tried it on my iPad & iPhone. I even tried an SD card adapter, NO luck. I paid a little more just for the micro sd feature and it doesn’t work. But it does work for normal SD cards so I can’t really be too upset about it. Could be because I have the newest apple devices might work for older ones.All in all if you want plug & play, quickly & eaisly upload your photos this’ll do the trick.

Works as advertised
Using it on a trip to the Rocky Mtn Natl Park with a 4 gig card in an “old” Canon G9 to upload shots to my iPhone 7 running iOS 12. It's working as advertised so I'm a happy camper.
