Emerald Isle Weaving Men's Irish Full Back Tweed Vest

So I'm probably the only female posting on this thread, but just in case there are any others out there like me who see this vest and wonder, I want to pitch in my two cents.THIS.VEST.IS.THE BEST.I'm a busty gal with a traditional hourglass shape and I wanted a quality, classic vest to wear to work. Everything I looked at from other sites for women were either tiny, used cheap fabric, or were what can only be described as the topper of a stripper costume. I worried based on other reviews that it would be too small, but I looked at the inches on the size guide and decided to go with my bust size. It fits me PERFECTLY. I thought it would be too large in the waist, but I just cinched the back belt up and it looks adorable. Unlike a lot of vests made for women, I can also button it comfortably without any straining, gaping or overstretching material. It's warm and beautiful and I may order another in another color. That's how much I love it. It also arrived super fast. I hope they restock the green in my size soon!

I ordered a size 48 but it was too small. Returned the 48 and ordered a size 52 which fits GREAT. This is a high-quality vest with a nice herringbone pattern. After writing my review, I took a closer look at the label and found it's only 10% wool and 90% polyester. I still like the vest and will keep it, but one would think that for $70, there would be a lot more wool in the garment.

I had a vest like this years ago. It was a gift from my ex-wife after she had visited Ireland. It was stolen from my car one night and I had mourned it since. I loved that vest. I now have this vest. It is perfect! the fit is great and it is comfortable and I get compliments on it. I may have to buy another one in a different color. I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The feel and quality of this vest is outstanding. Hands down one of my best clothing purchase I've made on Amazon. In reading the other reviews, I knew it ran a little small so I went up 1 size. Still a bit tight but then tried the next size and it's a little too big. Keeping the smaller one and I'll lose a few pounds to get the fit I want.I also love that the back is finished like the front. Hard to find now-a-days. If you're looking at this vest, just buy it. You won't be disappointed. Just make sure you account for the sizing.

As most of the reviews state, the vest runs small. Knowing that, I ordered the next size up from normal... still too small. I ordered up from that and it fits great. I gave the smaller vest to one of the guys in my wedding party (as we all wore this vest at my wedding this past August). It is surprisingly breathable - I bought it for my wedding in August in CT, so it was hot and muggy outside, but I never seemed to get too hot while wearing it. Construction seems good, and the materials are very good quality. Whenever I wear this I get compliments. The full back design was a big factor in my purchase as well.

Fantastic bargain. The quality of workmanship is far and away better than the price indicates. I don't know what the wool content is but the vest has a solid wool texture and looks as good as 100% wool. Fit is perfect, size chart doesn't lie. I am a grandfather now and want to look the part so bought this vest and I'm glad I did.

quality is excellent. very impressed with the explanation about sizing. I didn't catch the fact that the size chart they were talking about was actually one of the view options... front, back, "size chart". I was looking for a vest for some time. I hit Emerald isle website a few times, but kept clicking on to Amazon's size chart that didn't make sense. Once I found Emerald's size chart and I could measure it against another vest I owned, it made sense what size I needed (2 up like they said...). Ended up ordering and have been wearing it ever since.

This is such a great vest! I bought it a little big based on the recommendations and couldn't be happier. I have tried on similar vests that retail for $150 at the local Irish novelties shop, this vest is just as good. I love that it is not only able to fit around my frame, but it is also long enough to look presentable with the bottom button undone. The pockets are shallow, but that is expected in a vest. The tweed is good quality and the construction is extremely well done. Once I am able to make another purchase, I will be buying again in a different color.
