I SO wanted to like this native American caffeinated tea but it is so harsh and bitter, I cannot drink it. It is very refined and needs a lot more work to be done on it. I would not order it again. Blechhhhh

This is one of those things my husband and I wish we'd known about sooner. We're tea fiends, spend hundreds a year on various kinds of tea, and this puts them all to shame. So smooth you may not even need sugar if you're the sugar in your tea type ;) This stuff is so fantastic, we shared some with my in-laws and now they are buying their own.

I've been drinking yerba mate the traditional way for years, and have tried in vain to use it in the way tea is used, aka, iced tea, chai, or just a normal cup of tea. Yaupon is realated to yerba mate so I figured I'd give it a try, especially since it's processed differently, and it's great. They even gave me a little sample size of the light roast, so that's cool. I don't know how they knew I wanted to try it. Also I dig their packaging and the whole thinning the yaupon so the trees can grow back thing.

What's not to like? This tea has a great flavor and steady euphoric buzz. When I'm not drinking coffee this has become my tea of choice.

This tea is remarkable. Absolutely no bitterness at all. At times I have felt that buying locally produced food and products involves some sacrifice, but not with Lost Pines Yaupon Tea. After my first trial order of 2 oz, I have reordered the 1/4 lb bag of dark roast.

This took a few sips to get used to, but overall I really enjoyed the flavor of this tea. It lacks tannins, so was "sweeter" than what I expected, but not in an unpleasant way.

It was exactly as advertised.
