Tamper Replacement
I purchased this product to replace the one which came with my blender. It came on time and in new condition. There were no scrapes, scratches, or niks on this new tamper. After I received it I put the broken one next to the new one. It seems as if this new tamper is a tad bit shorter than the one which came with my blender. Both were made by the same company and were made for low-profile blenders. The change is probably a good thing, though. I broke my first one by hitting the blender blades. The tamper is a useful tool to have with this blender. I would purchase it again, if need be.

Works but one problem
It works but it is not as sturdy as the original plunger. Not sure why but it bends a bit when pushing the veggies/fruit down in the container when using the Vitamix. Like I said, it works but not being as sturdy was a little off-putting.

Awesome
I have a ninja blender but I couldn’t find the same one that I had because the blades ate mine up so I tried this one and actually I like the shape of this one much better it works a lot better than the original one that I got with my blender

Just Like Original
We had a bit of debacle when we decided it was ok to use this without the lid. DON’T DO IT! It broke the original and shot food and tiny pieces of plastic everywhere. But have no fear! Amazon is here! This was the exact same as original.

Requested and Got Low Profile Tamper
Unlike the first vendor, NutriGear actually paid attention to the order and sent a low-profile (short) tamper which is essential for my Vitamix otherwise the standard (long) tamper will extend to and be minced by the blender blades. How the first vendor could ignore this essential fact is beyond me. Kudos to NutriGear for getting this right.

great product... great price.
Appreciate that price has come way down on this item..... I don't care if it is genuine Vitamix or not... causeit works the same... no difference. Why pay double or even triple... when you can buy on Amazon for much less.
