I was asked by a friend to help diagnose an odd engine noise. I order this to help isolate the noise and was amazed on how well this worked. Simply use the metal probe and touch the engine. You will hear noises like you can’t image. This made it very easy to isolate the noise source location. In this case I was very quickly able to locate a timing chain tensioner issue. Would highly recommend if you ever need to isolate a sound in anything mechanical

Purchased this to listen to my dogs heart beat, he bites me every time I try inserting it. He doesn’t mind the thermostat though… it’s weird.

The idea is there but sadly so is the pain caused by the cheap manufacturing of these. My god, honestly you can’t have them on for more than a minute before your ears are inflamed and in pain! To see if it’s “just me” I had my family and friends all try them and as I suspected it’s not me it’s them. Your going to need to order some foam ear covers or a pain reliever, your choice

If you have to find a sound on the engine this is the tool to use. I also used it to locate a sound on a camera Gimbal. Easy to use just touch parts to hear knocking or clicking sounds. Bad injectors? FLoridaJeepRides thanks you

Nice product, the tool works pretty good but its a but uncomfortable to the ears.

Ease of use

Used one for years as a mechanic, but lost it. This works great. Saved me a roadside breakdown because of a bad alternator bearing. Thank you.
