Impressive! Replacing my current "wireless" solution.
TL;DR - It's everything you expect from their sensors, but actually wireless. The set-up was a breeze and I could quickly get a cook underway after it was delivered. I am looking forward to buying more probes to fully replace my existing "wireless" solution.*Pros- Charged on arrival. Clean the probe and get ready to cook.- App configuration was simple.- Quality materials. Nothing hollow or flimsy about the wireless base, the sensor, or the charger for the probe.- Probe case is also the charger. I'm not charging then storing; it's all-in-one.- The base and the probe case have magnetic backs. This keeps them out of drawers and off the limited surface space while grilling/cooking.- Everything just works together without being an expert.- Range is amazing*ConsThe only con that I can see is that some may not want to use batteries for the probes charging base. Personally, I'd hate to have 3 or 4 probe bases hooked to cables.. I appreciate the single battery in each probe base to handle all the charging.

Wireless accuracy
I took my new FRX on it's maiden voyage today. Just a quick trip tip cook to see how it works. I am super impressed with the accuracy of this unit. I have used other brands and I have not been impressed by their accuracy. I had one in particular that when I used my Thermapen One to verify the temp, I found that it was off by as much as 6 degrees. That is simply not acceptable! When I used my Thermapen to verify the RFX temp it was spot on! I can now confidently use a wireless thermometer.I also walked around my home to see if I would lose my connection and thankfully I couldn't find any dead spots. Also, I am a fan of the wired ambient temperature probe. I find that it is more accurate for a short cook.

It works
May 2025: No more stressing about whether the short ribs done or if the sous vide is accurate. Set up is relatively straight forward. Uses an app for most functions and to see the temps. No subscription necessary to use the app. Used the wired "ambient" probe to calibrate my 7 years old Anova Sous vide. Anova tried to require a subscription to use their app. Did not go well. The RFX also gives much more data than the Anova app.The magnets are very strong. Using wifi is nice. Was able to monitor my cook while away at church. Wireless probe appears rock solid. The other wireless probes I used were part plastic. Not the RFX. The main RFX hub is pretty small. You can upgrade the antennae if you want more range, but it'd plenty good stock.

Worth the money.
I've used a number of probes, and this one is hands down the best - you really do get what you pay for. It's easy to use, and I appreciate the cooking tips found in the app. The accuracy of the temp readings is of paramount importance when, for instance, smoking a brisket. And whereas this is the most expensive probe I've purchased, considering the fact that an overcook can ruin $100 or more of brisket, I'd rather find somewhere else to skimp.

No more dry meat!
I have never been a great cook. My husband always said I cooked my meat too long and it was dry. I saw this little item and was hoping it would help me out. I used it to cook my chicken and, for the first time no complaints about it being over done. My friend also told me about the rfx thermaworks blog. It was great to see that it gave me accurate cooking temps. So hopefully no more over cooked dry meat for me!!

Love this wireless probe
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love the new rfx from thermoworks. It’s easy to set up and reliable connection. I am excited to use it more for a more reliable way of reading meat temperatures while I’m cooking with having to open the lid to my smoker to check

Good quality but very expensive…
So it’s definitely a nice probe set, there’s no denying that. It makes smoking meats and getting the perfect temperature super easy. They seem very accurate, I’ve checked it against my two wired probes and they all read within 5° of each other. The app is easy enough to use but there’s some things I don’t like. The whole having to make and set up an account is kind of absurd. I have another wireless probe kit that I don’t need to sign in to use…. They do have a pretty good range, and they connect very quickly. Now for the price….. wow, they really are not what I would call a good value, at $200 for the one probe kit that’s double what my other probes are and I can’t really say it’s justified. If you’re not turned off by the price it’s a good kit and easy to use.

Just claimed #1 spot in my arsenal of thermometers!
Used this last night right after receiving it.I love how easy the probe is to use and clean compared to the other ones I have with wires. I own their Smoke Receiver kit as well as a Govee WiFi meat thermometer, which will likely be gifted to a friend.I wish all of them were wireless - this is definitely the way to go. It sent me an alarm at 162 degrees while I was working on the computer. The temperature was perfect, and the chicken was juicy by the time I got back to it.I definitely want a few more wireless probes now! 😎
