Sharky Malarkey: A Sketchshark Collection Paperback – September 18, 2018

As a fellow web cartoonist (author of Prolific Pen Comics) I have been inspired by Megan's work for a few years now. No one draws dynamic poses and facial expressions quite like she does. The comedic timing and reliability of the comics is on point all the way through. These observations of life and the animal kingdom are dripping with sarcasm. If you don't laugh out loud at these pages repeatedly then you are probably dead inside.

I bought this as a surprise birthday present for my friend - we both follow Megan on Instagram, and it was the perfect art-nerd thing to send. Sketchshark fans, unite!

I've been following sketchshark on Instagram and was so excited about this book. Megan has a gift for capturing wonderfully unexpected perspectives in drawings that delightfully stretch the imagination. I am an illustrator, and have referenced Megan's drawings with fascination for her precision with certain expressions with such simple lines. I love how well she is able to anthropomorphize animals and objects. This book brings joy to my artistic quirky curious heart.

This book is fantastic. The humor is so strange that it will never fail to catch you off guard. As insane and ridiculous as the comics may be, they're so damn funny because they're always real, even when it's a page about a cat pulling a pocket knife on its owner because they stopped scratching the cat.

I was having a bad day and I really wanted to cry and when I got home this book I forgot I had ordered had arrived. Sharky Malarkey made me smile and laugh and my day didn’t feel as bad anymore. Thank you!

This is just a nice, well put together book that will make you laugh out loud IRL. If you want something light hearted to read while waiting for a bus, an appointment, or just sipping on a latte somewhere, this is worth the price.

If you dig Kate Beaton you will love this book. It's chock full of weirdness and absurd sight gags with an undertone of social commentary. Worth the price of admission for the toad chapters alone

This book is hilarious! It's got some swear words in it, so it's definitely not kid-friendly. But there were plenty of funny comics that had me crying with laughter. I recommend it as an occasional pick-me-up.
