Useless prouduxt. Decades out of date. Awful user experience
Why did you choose this product over others?: I believed it was the market leader and it was a best buy recommendation form a bike magazine. Shockingly badly designed software and so outdated.

Received my Garmin Edge 540 and have done ~5 rides with it now. It is a 5 star product (from my limited use so far), but there are a few things to note... The Good: --------------- - You can configure the display screen to show the stats you care about. I have the max showing (10 stats), and find it is easily readable when you glance down. - It comes with the ability to mount in on your stem or in front. I prefer in front - I can do multiple rides with one charge, so you don't need to recharge after every ride (of course, depends how long you ride for - Seemed to be no issue on a rainy day when I was out, and on really sunny days. This is well made and no issues in the conditions I have rode in so far. (Note have not done any really 'dark' conditions yet) The Bad: --------------- - Remember to power it down completely after your side is done (and saved), so it conserves the battery. I did not the first time, and assumed when it went to power save mode/screen went blank, it would conserve power. Instead, when I was about to ride 2 days later, it was at zero power. Had to spend 15 minutes to get it to ~20%. So just make sure you power off when you are done. - When doing the "hill climbs" on it (where it prompts you that you are on a known climb), there seems to be a lag from when it realizes you are on the hill, and a lag when you are done. Nothing major, maybe ~5-10 seconds difference. But it is noticable. Other Notes: --------------- - If you connect to a Garmin Varia, the first time it will ask you to update the radar software. It takes about 8 minutes. While you can skip this and ride, I just recommend you plan for this and connect them ~10 minutes before you ride OVERALL --------------- I would recommend this for any cyclist who wants a computer on their bike. The few cons I have seen so far are minor vs how well it works in general. Note I have this connected to a Garmin Varia read radar/light, a speed sensor, a cadence sensor, and a heart rate chest strap (all by Garmin). All connected with no issue.

I do recommend this bike computer. It is small lightweight and fully functional. It’s amazing. What such a small little computer can do. I did have to return it only because my eyesight is going and I am middle-aged and I needed to see my workouts clearly. Just the print is slightly small I can see but those little fuzzy and when I’m on the bike, I want to see it 100% clear at the glance. But other than that, I highly recommend. If I was 10 years younger, I would definitely keep it. You can beat the point!
