I've used KX filters for years, previously was always a good product. They were previously manufactured in USA.Now they are manufactured in India. I don't have anything against India -- I much prefer that to manufactured in China like many other filters now, but it's just not the same product as the original.The filter I just purchased (5/2/19) removed from shrinkwrap weights only 12.6oz (358g). It doesn't feel anywhere near as hefty as the original CTO Plus, and it's no longer rated at 0.6 micron, only claims 1 micron nominal.I installed it anyway as my RO pre-filter, will see how long it lasts.But I'm looking for another filter brand for next time.
