If you are old like me you will remember hard chalk from classrooms. Chalk that wouldn't break when dropped from a short desktop. Yeah, this is the chalk that will bring back those memories. It is not some cheap, emulsified air blended garbage that disintegrates during shipping, like other brands. This is a quality product.

I ordered 3 boxes of this chalk. It is a good quality however received many broken pieces. Was very disappointed with your packaging 😕

I am a teacher and often get assigned classrooms with chalkboards. I have tried the chalk sold at office chains such as EZ Art brand and Crayola, and they often have sand or some sort of grit in them (who knows why), which not only scratches the chalkboard, but also doesn't wipe off easily. I can say that I buy only prang now because it is smooth, wipes off and won't scratch the chalkboard. I can only find it here on Amazon.

This is the only brand of chalk I use with my students. We do the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum and use chalk daily. I break them in half, so they are easy for little hands to hold. Other chalk is hit and miss. Some of the cheaper brands stop working or don't write or erase well to begin with. This chalk makes clean lines and wipes away easily.

Love this chalk, it shows up great on green boards and not too much dust.

We have 7 children and another on the way. With homeschooling, we are particular about some things.... one being chalk. I dislike the regular, scratchy chalk. This stuff glides as smooth as a baby's bottom. You won't regret trying this stuff! It is truly the best. When I run out early and end up buying the cheap chalk, I always regret it. With Prang, you want to get in there with your kids on the chalkboard yourself!

This chalk erases. That is important, because the made in China chalk from Crayola and Rose Art does not erase, except with a wet sponge.Unfortunately it mostly arrived broken, I ordered three boxes, which came in one package. One box was fine. The other two boxes were all broken. pieces.
