These are great for Shabbos and just generally as a nightlight.... We needed nightlights once our newborn arrived so that we could do diaper changes in the middle of the night without having to wake the baby. These were great because we could use on weekday and then also on Shabbos without having to switch between different types. Easy to use and manuever to control the amount of light that you get. Comes in different color options if you care (we just chose the redwood one because it was a few $s cheaper and the color was actually surprisingly nice -- it looks tacky on the site but the color in reality was pretty chic). Very pleased with this purchase, got two for different rooms.

I bought this for my daughter. She reports that it is easy to use and works well for her on Shabbos and Yom Tov.

With a 12 watt LED bulb this light is quite bright.

Got this for my daughter, who likes to read in bed on the Jewish Sabbath, when turning on or off lights is not allowed. This lamp twists to open and close the light lens, to permit light for reading, a sliver of light for a night-light, or no light at all. Uses one 15 watt flourescent bulb, so it is not extremely bright (40 watt equivalent), but it is sufficient. Need more light? Buy more than one.

I guess they did upgrade this lamp because it's much brighter than I thought it would be. I didn't think you could use CFL in an enclosed space due to heat buildup, but I guess it works for this lamp. The top that you twist never gets hot to touch, even after it's been on all Shabbos.I got the ivory color - it's actually pretty, it's not a solid color as I expected, it almost looks like wood grain. It's a versatile color, it fits in with the colors in all my rooms.The only issue I have with this lamp is the packaging - the foam padding is the cheap stuff that crumbles & sticks to everything & everyone - I had to vacuum after unpacking this.

This is the 3rd item I've tried for Shabbos and it is the best one of the three, but would like it even brighter.Seems sturdier( and heavier) than other similar lamps. I will keep it.

Great product! It came on time, it turns very easily, to allow for different levels of light penetrating through, serving as a dimmer. Oh, and I love the fact that it has a switch to turn on/off so that I really use this during the week as well and don't have to keep it on the whole time.
