SUENOS WORLD SPANISH 1 CDS 1-4 NEW EDITION (Sueños)

this series is fairly good. I used it myself years ago when I had to learn to get by in Spanish. I have re-purchased it for my stepson now that he has to study Spanish at school because it is interesting and put together in a comprehensive manner. It gives you real life situations and the stimulus to improve and look around the subject, while at the same time cleverly compartmentalising themes.Yes, worth the money - it is a good basis to build on.

Bad bit first - some of the people speak rather quietly and sometimes far too fast. Having said that - that is the way things will be if we speak to people we don't know so it will be good in the future.You are listening to native speakers from many different countries.Lots of repetition so maybe it will get into my brain. Book and CD complement each other, i.e. work well together. Lots of little extra information to make it interesting.Altogether very good.

I use these in my car as I drive a lot for my jobyou do need to kow in advance which lesson number related to which chapter in the book before you play the CD. The CD cover has a lots of info on the relevatn chapters

Good to hear spoken Spanish but find a lot of the recording difficult to hear clearly. Some bits are rushed through and could be repeated or translated for clarity. It is clearly sectioned. Difficult to relate to some of the recording with the book. Overall do find it informative and offers a wider view of Spanish spoken in different countries and communities throughout the world.

Not what I expected or hoped for - little or no time for repetition of the Spanish to improve pronunciation and get the vocabulary correct. The range of Spanish pronunciation from South and Central America to North and Southern Spain was not helpful. learning one - Castillian, say - at a time and then learning to adapt would have been more helpful. This seemed to have been written by Spaniards thinking how English people might learn the language.....better to come from someone who has had the experience of learning it as a second language.I gave it a good go but ended up thinking I would sell it. I learnt from from a "Teach yourself Spanish" book!

Very good quality book, good for learning everyday conversational Spanish

Decent, but some chapters like working out in miles how far cities are from each other? Or a person`s Barrio? But other than that, Good

A thorough, comprehensive and well produced course in Spanish language. It is however recommended that the learner should purchase the accompanying book too either as a separate pack or as a combination..
