The printer was very easy to install.
Although it is a refurbished model, it works perfectly!

SO Much Better Than My Last HP!
I bought this amazing value of a printer to replace my old HP Photosmart printer, which was technically not broken... It just drove us all nuts by picking and choosing when it wanted to print on our network, even with a static IP address! This printer... AMAZING. Easy to set up, makes multiple copies or scanned pages, good speed, great print quality, and best part... It just plain WORKS!I got an amazing deal on a refurbished one that looked brand spanking new, and came with everything, it just had bubble wrap inside a plain box. Who cares for nearly half the price! But even at the new in a box price this printer is a solid performer, and HP obviously cleaned up all of their well documented networking issues from their older printers.I highly recommend this HP printer!!

Replaced a printer with renewed
I had one previous for years, really pleased with it but after years of hard work it began to fail. Didnt like the new ones or new prices, ordered this "renewed" one at a great price. Same model as before. Arrived looking nearly new, well packaged and shipped. Works great. Only issue was a missing power cord which they overnighted to me..great feedback from the company, responsive and fast. Very pleased!

Won't pint from computer, vendor won't return call. Waste of money and time!!
Sorry folks, but I have to echo some of the preceding bad reviews of these so-called 'refurbished' HP Printers. 7955 is a great model, have had one for years until the plastic parts simply wore out. Still in demand but no longer produced by HP and new ones are impossible to find nowadaysSo these looked good...'looked good' is the operative term here. But refurbished goods most often turn out to be 'no good' at all. This is just one example!Got this one & hooked it up: copied some documents OK and prints them normally; it even scans and sends to the computer normally too; but, it won't connect online to print documents from the cptr, even though it is hooked directly to the cptr via a usb cable. No WiFi involved.Could be a software problem or something in the prints itself; I don't know. Just doesn't work. Useless. I need someone to go into my cptr online and check it out, like HP does, but they won't help with refurbished printers. The vendor (more than likely) doesn't have that same capability. You can not talk to anyone directly to find out because they would not return my calls for help.So I was left with a useless printer. No choice but to send it back and buy a brand new similar HP printer.that uses the same ink cartridge. Am thankful for Amazon's liberal return policy, so it's over to UPS with this useless thing. My advice to anyone looking to buy one of HPs 7800 model printers is avoid the refurbished stull like these, and go out and buy a similar, "brand new" one; one that HP will help you with if ever needed.Good luck!!JonB

Perfect replacement printer.
My old HP printer died, just like that! Problem is, I just purchased four HP replacement ink cartridges about three weeks prior (the 4 cartridges I purchased cost more than this new/refurbished printer, and they could not be returned). Soooooo, I was hoping to find, with fingers crossed, an HP printer that used the EXACT SAME ink cartridges. To my delight this HP printer came up in my search. It is a refurbished printer so I was hesitant, but I have purchased returned and or refurbished items in the past and have been pleased with the products and the reduced cost. Therefore, I decided to purchase this refurbished HP printer that my recently purchased HP ink cartridges would fit into. Thus far the printer is performing great and I'm totally satisfied with my purchase. At this point I've only printed documents and made copies, but the printer is similar to my previous HP printer, so I'm sure the photo quality will be as good as the quality I experienced with my old HP.PS I identified tech support as "three stars," as I've not had the need for support, so figured "three stars" is a neutral rating.

great printer for the value
Got a refurbished printer and not all the colors would print on test page (no cyan, images too red), despite following the troubleshooting suggestions. Seems this is a common bug. Returned it and replaced with what we thought was NEW since the price was slightly more, but another refurbished model came. We compared it with other vendors and price of a new one was much higher. Not sure if the quality of a refurbished model determines the cost. I would expect the item to go through some sort of QA and recertified. In the end, the 2nd one we received worked perfectly, so we kept it. We will see what happens when we need to replace the cartridges. Before returning the 1st one, we swapped out the cartridges to test, but the printer gave a message that they weren't original and wouldn't print.

Exactly as advertised
I love this printer, which is why when the last one I had died, I purchased it again. I was pleasently surprised that the renewed printer arrived in its original box, and several days early. I have no complaints at all about the seller, or the printer.I do have concerns about HP's tech help! I spent an hour and a half trying to transfer my instant ink subscription to my new printer...and finally had to call HP directly for help. The reason I couldn't do it myself? The instructions on the HP website were incorrect! The tech was able to immediately give me the correct information, and installation was a breeze after that, but I mentioned the incorrect instructions multiple time to the tech and he didn't seem terribly interested in getting them updated. However, in the end, the printer is working great, is exactly what I want and came quickly!
