A competent mini-pc, ideal for managing and displaying media
For clarity, these comments apply to the Kodlix G41 with Celeron processor 8GB/64GB.I purchased this box to replace an HP mini-pc with a 4th generation i3 processor (which is still going strong but needed to be retasked). I had some doubts about replacing an i3 with a Celeron, but these have proved unfounded. The box is used as a media pc, including managing audio and video libraries, subtitle editing, transcoding (using Intel QSV), plus management of my photo collection and some post-processing with GIMP. In all of these tasks, the Kodlix has proved the equal of its i3 predecessor. QSV video encoding is perhaps 10% slower, but the difference is hardly significant. The box presented a few challenges to set up, but these were almost entirely down to Windows Pro rather than the hardware. In particular making connections to network shares totally defied me for an entire afternoon, despite trying every fix and tweak I could find online. Eventually I gave up and went to bed: the next day everything worked perfectly as soon as I switched the machine on.Windows Pro and all the software I use are installed on drive C: - the 64GB MMC drive. There is 35GB left unused on this drive, so I expect no problems with space for upgrades. I added a £20 120GB SSD in the 2.5" drive bay (2 minute job) for workspace, and long-term storage uses my NAS or a 1TB portable drive attached to a USB port. Minor gripe: the USB3 ports are on the front of the machine and the USB2 ports at the back. It would be better if they were the other way around.Performance-wise, as I have mentioned this little box matches its i3 predecessor in all the tasks I have asked it to do. Downloads from the web easily max out my 150mb/sec connection and network transfers via gigabit ethernet are as fast as you'd expect. Multiple applications run without stress or lag. Video performance using Potplayer or VLC at 1080p and including H265 is excellent. I have NOT used the wifi, I don't do gaming, and I don't currently use 4K video, so I can't comment on these areas. Now that the machine is fully configured as I want it, I am completely happy with the purchase and would recommend this product to anyone who needs a competent and economical media pc. Long-term durability remains to be seen...EDIT1: After using the machine for a while, I now find that transcoding with Intel QSV is actually faster than on the old i3.EDIT2: Had to do a Windows reset (software issue - not the pc), after which an activation code was needed. I emailed the manufacturer who provided the code promptly.

Processor speed
Processor runs at 2.4 but reports at 1.2, the software I needed to install had a min of 2.0 so failed to load

Really good product
This machine runs high res videos great, which I have struggled with on other similar products. It's a great asset to your entertainment system!Only problem is that some apps crash when they write to the SSD card, I think because it's formatted with the wrong system format. I need to try NTSF instead of exFAT. Will change my review when tried out.

Didn't even started
Tried to turn it on and power button just stuck inside. Very poor build quality. Don't waste your time on this product.

Great for streaming
Bought this little gem for H.265 streaming of Shadow cloud PC and It has proven well able to the job.I did have to do a fresh install of Windows 10 as the original install failed to start up but no issue since.Completely silent and very fast while also hidden on the back of the monitor. The Intel N4100 with UHD Graphics 600 packs a decent punch for every day tasks.

Flexible Mini PC
Bought this for a friend to replace another Mini PC, which was limited to 2GB RAM and which couldn't accept Windows 10 updates but worked OK otherwise. Fitted a spare 120GB SSD to give plenty of storage with the inbuilt 64 GB and 8GB RAM. Processor is fine for emails and browsing and didn't test games, etc.

Ease of use
I like the speed of boot and programmes, have installed office 2019, good alternative to a full sized PC, connection straight to TV

switch on !
it does not work.it switches on but after a couple of seconds it switches off.i have received 'help' online that involves resetting, then opening the back and disconnecting the internal battery.i am not a computer mechanic, so cannot do this.
