Fear The Walking Dead: Season 3

A good series worth watching
I got hooked on the Walking Dead and got into Fear the Walking Dead waiting on the last season of the Walking Dead to come out. FTWD turned out to be a great addition to the franchise of Walking Dead spinoffs. Bought this one used and it came in a timely manner and so far no problems with the discs.

Season 3 capitalizes on the previous ones successes and ventures even further into dangerous territory. Brilliant direction!!!
This series has manifested itself over the course of its 3 season (presently) run into a classic and thrilling tale. Whereas Season 1 sort of really drags out and leaves viewers not really knowing what to expect from the show, Season 2 spiced things up favorably by offering new locales never seen in the Walking Dead or Fear universe. While still lacking in other areas, Season 2 properly sets up the stage for the even more exceptional Season 3. We now can officially consider this a piece of must watch television. It almost seems to recount what made The Walking Dead so epic and fun to watch in its earlier seasons. Not to say that I havent enjoyed The Walking Dead's latter seasons, but Fear seems to have more variety at the present. With thrilling new characters and locations to explore with Madison and her ragtag kids, this season will see our characters grow like never before and lose just as much!! A huge 3rd for the wonderful apocalyptic world of Robert Kirkman's genius.

A Pleasant Suprise!
I was very skeptical to watch this series. We are big fans of The Walking Dead and had heard mixed reviews about Fear the Walking Dead. Then, I read an article online which compared the two series. It said that TWD is basically about superheroes (iconic weapons/costumes, over-the-top abilities, etc.) whereas FTWD is about family. I ordered the first two seasons of FTWD from our local library. I can say that we actually like this show better as it is more "realistic" for the genre. While it is a bit slower, the drama, acting, writing and directing are excellent. This season (3) has been the best so far. It's a little less gross than TWD, too.We highly recommend Fear the Walking Dead if you're into the genre.

Took a huge leap in season 3
There were parts of season 1 and 2 of FEAR I really enjoyed, but season 3 was the first year it felt like a good tv show even outside of the franchise. The huge leap I think was largely was due to the improved focus on the core characters individual journeys as well as the addition of actors like Daniel Sharman, Dayton Callie, Michael Greyeyes, and Lisandra Tena. The show also took a lot more risks thematically, in scope, ambitious stunt work, and developing a look of it's own. The Blu-ray commentary tracks and deleted scenes extras are fine. Standard stuff.
