The story, as cryptic as it may be, is fantastic once you’re able to crack into it (pro tip; read item descriptions, they’re one of the best ways to learn about the game’s lore). Now, this version of the game does not come with the DLC included, but even so you can get hours upon hours of gameplay from it between the main game and the optional chalice dungeons (systematically generated bonus levels, in layman’s terms), and the DLC itself can be purchased from the PS Store for pretty cheap at this point. Online play - both cooperatively and competitively (adversarial PvP) - are still pretty active considering the game’s age. All in all, if you haven’t already played this game, I highly recommend that you do.
