I love cheese. Especially the hard kind that never come pre-cut. So I usually use a regular knife to cut it and it never comes out nice. And then my friend mentioned something about cheese cutters so I decided to give it a try. I picked this one based on design primarily. It is made with stainless steel and looks very modern and slick (and matches other accessories in my kitchen). It is very easy to use and the wire seems very strong (I had no problem cutting through even the hardest cheeses). The slicer has rubber feet so that it doesn't move while you are cutting cheese. The slicer comes with 5 extra wires so if anything you always have a spare. I am enjoying this product very much! I am pretty sure I will ever use a knife to cut cheese again.

The media could not be loaded.  UPDATE: The slicer was supposed to come with extra wires. I contacted the company to get them sent to me because I really didn't want to send it back. I was assured they would send them but when they didn't show and I followed up with them, they stopped answering messages. My wire popped so I had no other choice but to return it.One would think my house is full of mice the way cheese is eaten! My daughter's favorite cheese happens to come in block and it had become quite a pain to slice it to her desired thickness (kids and their picky ways, I tell ya!) so I got this to make my job easier and it did just that. What took me 5-10 minutes before just takes a few seconds now! Cheese is a pain to cut any way you slice it but with the wire and the cold metal, the process is quick and smooth. Very easy to wash and store and I know if I think hard enough, I'll be cutting up way more than items than just cheese!

I have had wood block with wire cutter cheese cutters for years, but had trouble finding them recently. Finally found one at B, B, & B. It was fairly expensive and too large, but I bought it anyway. When we got it home (we live in a rural area, 20 miles from town) I found that the hole for the cutter handle had been mis-aligned. The cutter was nearly useless.I bought this Stainless Steel slicer from Amazon. It fills the bill....I wish it were slightly larger, and I miss the feel and solidity of wood, but this one performs well and is much easier to clean.

I ordered one of these to cut soap, and one of the pieces that holds the wire was jagged and cut the wire every time I replaced it. I wrote the company and asked for a replacement, so they sent me four of them. Three are unusable, and one box came with a broken Wine opener boat zipper snappy lube, and some part I have no idea what it is. This company obviously has no integrity for the quality of their products.

Very useful product, easy to use, cuts through hard cheese easily making always perfect slices.I also comes with few spare steel wire even though I think one can last for quite a long time before need replacement.It seems to be very durable being all stainless steel, reason why we just threw it in the dishwasher.It is big enough to be used also with half wheels of Italian sheep cheese the we are use to buy.

Love the compact size of this, but it also does a terrific job! It’s much easier to use than using a knife or other style slicers that I’ve used! There is a learning curve to get it down right but once you try it a couple of times it is SO easy! Also really easy to clean! Would also make a terrific gift!

This slicer came with no wire on it we had to put it on ourselves. It was very hard to install the wire. Finally got it on only to be loose but good enough to cut. It lasted a little while then wire broke. My husband tried again to install one of the provided replacement wires. He gave up after may tries to install. I would not recommend this product the wire is to short and to hard to install.UPDATE: After watching a YouTube video on how to install a wire I was able to get one on pretty easily.

Very disappointed with this. The wire broke the second time using it. The slicer includes a few other replacement wires but I'm shocked I need to already use one of them. If the next wire breaks just as easily, I will need to send it back for a refund.

I took delivery of this at 10:00 ,and tried to cut a slice of parmesan. By 1015 I consigned the cutter to the garbage bin as completely unfit for purpose.

Si j'avais pu donner zéro étoile, je l'aurais fait... Ne coupe pas le fromage, le fil de fer est trop gros... Nous avons finalement remisé la trancheuse, celle-ci n'ayant jamais réussi à couper une seule tranche de fromage... Je déconseille fortement ce produit...

Terrible unit, cheaply made . Rough edges. I returned it.
