Bipod Adapter for Keymod Rail System

This company sells a couple of these that look the same however they are very different. This is the unit you want if you plan on using a Caldwell bipod or something similar. The stud in this unit is threaded so it does not rotate and it sits lower (protrudes less) so that when the engagement claws of the bipod grab the stud they are contained by the bipod base. On the other unit this company sells the stud passes through from the back, rotates and protrudes too far for the bipod claws to stay contained by the base. Your bipod will spontaneously detach with the other unit. On a side note the keymod nuts and screws included with this unit are a higher quality (or more nicely machined) than those that came with the other unit. They appear to be blued steel, not sure if they are SS that is nitrided. My hard ware appeared to have a little surface rust, probably from humidity, not a big deal. The other unit appeared to have keymod nuts made of aluminum that was not finished well.

I wasn't entirely sure this adapter would be all that it could be based on the information provided, 1st that it was made of plastic, and 2nd because of the reasonable price offered. However, when I received this adapter along with another I purchased, but fabricated in aluminum, I actually like this better. I couldn't believe how durable it actually was, felt like steel. More importantly it fit like a glove on to my hand guard. The beveled edge down both sides of the adapter provides the necessary snug fit between the upper portion of my BiPod, and the adapter itself, this helps prevent unnecessary roll, keeping everything locked in place. An excellent product for the price, IMO.If I find its longevity is less than expected, I'll probably just purchase a replacement at this price.

My round attachment lug was slightly misaligned so I loosened it 1/8th turn to line it up. I was then worried it wasn't tight enough and made the mistake of trying to turn it 3/8ths of a turn tighter than it came which stretched the bolt. The bolt on the lug is very slender and easily broken. I don't normally Bubba things but this time I did because of how easy it was to do.I replaced this product with a one piece unit in the pictures that costs $11.99

Actually wouldn’t work on my AR-15 hand guard but will work on one of my other weapons. Good deal for the $$

Great product. Works really well. Only problem is that one of the threaded holes was was not threaded all the way. Very frustrating and had to thread the rest myself.

It fits perfect but made out of plastic. Hasn't broke yet, 200 rounds still good

All in all a good product put the screws to mount take are half as short as they need to be for keymod it was kind of a joke that I had to go to a hardware store
