MySushiSet - Japanese Square Zaru Soba Noodle Tray with Tsuyu Dipping Cup Red

I’ve seen zaru-soba sets like this in average restaurants when I was in Tokyo, so it’s definitely good quality for regular use. However, as the bamboo mat is real dried bamboo (raised and picked without pesticide spray, according to the card included with the set, so it’s safe), THE MAT SHOULD NOT STAY WET and the set should be stored in a cool dry place. Always hand wash!!!Love the whole set, especially that it includes the dipping cup with lid for placing ginger and wasabi or other garnishes on it, when eating zaru-soba :)Definitely a great addition to your dishware for those who love to eat soba noodles!

On a hot day, a nice dish of zaru soba can really hit the spot, and this set is the perfect thing to serve them on. The main tray with the bamboo cover does a good job of draining the noodles, while the cup and plate that come with the set are perfect for holding the dipping sauce and toppings.The set is well-made with an attractive red and black finish.

Everything you need to properly serve zaru soba in true japanese fashion minus the yutou pot for serving the hot soba-yu cooking water afterwards! My little soy sauce pot can suffice for just that function for now though!

Love these soba noodle plates.

Very cheaply made and too low. The soba has no room to drain because it’s so low to the ground. Any good soba restaurants in Japan the tray isat least a couple inches off the table and it is made of wood. A bad experience.
