My three year old developed an intense fear of having her hair rinsed after an experience with a hotel shower because we didn't have the thermos that we usually rinse her hair with. As a result she went on a bathing and hair washing strike. Prior to that, her dad would hold a folded hand towel over her face while I rinsed her hair. She tolerated that until the hotel incident, then after realizing she wasn't going back to the towel over her face, I ordered this item. She didn't cooperate on the first try because I had a difficult time getting it adjusted correctly while she pulled it off in anxiety, so it slid down her face under the weight of the water. That's the only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is I wish it had snaps instead of rubber straps that you have to thread through the plastic clasp. We readjusted it (which is easy enough once you figure it out, but not when a child is panicking over fear of water and shampoo in their face), then waited a few days to try again. The second time and every time since then it has worked perfectly since we won't have to readjust it until her head grows. I told my daughter it is a bubble hat because she loves for us to blow bubbles in the tub (and this hat has raised circles on the visor that look like bubbles). That seemed to do the trick. She loves it now and loves bath time again and cheerfully asks to wear her bubble hat. I just have my husband put his hand under the bill of the hat when I pour the water over her head just to make sure it doesn't slide down again, but I think we have it tight enough now that it won't slide even if he doesn't hold it. I also LOVE that it extends out over the ears so water doesn't go in them. The rubber seal is very gentle on her forehead and totally blocks out the water. I just try not to pour too much water too fast over hear head so that it doesn't run over and then under the bill of the hat to her face, but even then there's only a few droplets because it mostly runs straight off the bill. I do rinse the back of my daughter's head now that she's not scared anymore before putting on the hat or else it would get in the way of getting all the soap out.

Easy enough to get on but we can't seem to keep water from going into our son's ears. That was our main reason for buying it, he has tubes in both ears and it bothers him when water gets in them. We tried adjusting it but nothing seems to work. It does keep soap out of his eyes so theres that

This product id really useful when it comes to washing my daughter hair but after a while it start to slide down her face so i have to quickly was her hair thats why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 but using this has still be helpful

The fussy toddler who hates water in his eyes refuses to even try it. And moms know you can’t wrestle with a wet toddler. But I tried it on myself and it works great! Maybe when the kid is old enough to reason with... like when he’s 10...

My 1year old was starting to hate bath time. Possibly caused by hair washing. She would scream and cry so I decided to purchase this based on the reviews of others. I’m glad I did. Hair washing and bath time has become less complicated. The water still seeps thru slightly. But I definitely recommend this product.

It’s definitely helpful- my only problem was the baby wanted to take it off her head most of the time. Overall helped while she was Too young to know to tilt her bead back when in tub

Yay, it worked! I bought this product after cataract surgery as I was instructed not to get water in my eyes for at least two weeks post surgery.... so, washing my hair became a problem...problem solved with this shower visor. It is a challenge to adjust the size, but with a little,patience,c an be done.

I couldn't pull the strap through the clips to make it longer and bigger to fit the head. Very stuck and tight because of its stretchy and grippy material. Too much of a hassle to try to loosen it, really stuck because of the material. Couldn't even lift it with paper clip. So, I am returning it.
