Wanted to like this lamp
I really liked the design. Compared to the Rothenberger superfire 2 I've used for years this has a nicer designed tip and over all feel. In less than a month however it developed the same fault other reviewers mentioned where it leaks from what looks like a weep hole in the handle. When I say leak I mean gas blasts out of there like its its job. This happened with mine on the first bottle swap literally one month after purchase. Shame I had high hopes for this. Ive purchased the Arctic Hayes Vortex as a replacement hope it has better longevity than the Nerrad.

Weak torch to heavy for own good
I bought 2 of theses torches one for me one for my brother on arrival mine was missing the sticker on the valve handle as this does not affect the usage I let it slide, about 2 weeks after my purchase I finally got as able to test it on some soldering before I put a gas bottle on , it fell off the top of myTool bag (ruck sack not very tall ) I was shocked to find the pin for the inlet had seared off and the tread had been bent so bad it was usable . Good torch but so heavy it damages itself upon any impacts plus the brass tread pretty weak.

Absolute rubbish
As a gas safe engineer I use daily. Usually a rothenburger fan but went for a change, less than 4 months old paint has come so already looks old and injector lasts days when using map gas. As a pro I would not recommend

Don't buy
After less than 1 year of use the blowlamp now leaks gas from a hole in the handle meaning its unsafe to use .After only a few months of use the paint finish has come off meaning it looks a bit ratty .

Not fit for purpose
Not fit for purpose.Flame unstable and poor control, would increase and die off on its own.Always been a pain to ignite and now finally after only 2 months of use it has died.Won’t allow any gas to pass, tried multiple gas canisters to no luck.Do yourself a favour and get the super fire from rothenberger.
