EXCELLENT REBOUNDER, BUT ITEMS ARE MISSING
This rebounder is excellent quality and deserves 5 stars, even though items were missing. In two different paragraphs, Amazon states that you will receive a book, an Immune System DVD, and Carol's Health Bounce DVD. In addition, the picture clearly shows a cover around the springs. The cover for the springs and Carol's DVD were missing and were not shipped separately.Since the reviewer in April 2012 had a problem with missing items, I called Amazon about it before I ordered; however, they couldn't assure me that I would receive all of those items. I considered ordering it from Needak directly, but their return policy wasn't clear. There was a chance that they would charge a re-stocking fee. In addition, I would probably have to pay return shipping and lose the original shipping cost although I don't know that for sure. This is according to many experiences with ordering online, etc. So, I decided to go with Amazon fulfillment. I'm sure that it wasn't Needak's fault that items were missing, but rather that of Amazon or the seller. Since there are many sellers and one description, I tend to think it was Amazon's; however, Amazon did make it right by giving a partial refund. I could have returned the whole order, but wanted to keep the rebounder. Amazon did e-mail their warehouse while I waited on the phone to make them aware of the problem. It's possible that it's been corrected, but I wouldn't count on it. I'm going to order those missing items from Needak. Now that you know what you probably will receive, on to the rebounder itself. I used a family member's rebounder in the past (about mid 1980's and beyond). I wish that I had never stopped because it is fun, good exercise, convenient and can be done in the privacy and comfort of home. I have used them in the backyard and inside. I like both, although outside is probably my favorite as long as the weather is good. They call this a "soft bounce", so I was concerned that it would be too soft, but it is just right. The user weight limit is 300 pounds. I found this on Needak's website. They have another one that supports up to 600 pounds. This soft bounce is virtually quiet. There is a little noise from the springs, but it's not bothersome. I watched an Alfred Hitchcock show during a rebound session and could hear it perfectly well. Noises do often bother me, and this doesn't. So, I believe it will be fine for most people. The set up it very fast and easy. The 6 legs go over posts and make a firm, solid foundation for rebounding. There is a very secure feeling when using this--that it really is supporting you. Right now, I do mostly jumping, some jogging, jumping jacks and side to side kicks. If I get tired, I do very light jogging, barely lifting my feet off of the rebounder or bounce without lifting my feet off of the rebounder at all. I've heard that some people who have great limitations will simply sit on the rebounder and bounce on it. As I get in better shape, I plan on doing more exercises such as higher kicks as I used to do. After I get the DVD that was missing, I can do the various exercises along with them. If there is anything else that needs to be added, I will do an update.

I love this thing!
Best find ever! I'm crazy about this Needak soft bounce rebounder. I've had it one month and use it every day. Aside from feeling great, I have lost nine pounds and hit a target weight I've been after for nine years. Of course, part of the reason is that I also mostly stopped eating bread and tortilla chips - just lost my appetite for them I guess :) Also, my main concern had been some swelling in my ankles which must be related to the lymph and circulatory systems ( I'm 63). This is gone and that was immediate. I've also developed good muscle tone and biceps from using one pound weights. I use this for about an hour a day, anywhere from 3 minutes to 30 minutes at a time. One important thing to pay attention to is to take it easy at first; I was gung ho with my new toy, even though my back was a little sore. I didn't know I had a rib out of place somewhat from some yard work and moving of heavier stuff. I ended up at the chiropractor with my back in pretty awful spasm so I had to restrain myself from anything other than a very gently health bounce for almost 2 weeks (what a bummer) - I still lost all that weight and it's a mystery! Great for posture and core for sure. I got some workout music from Amazon prime and have a really good time dancing, doing jumping jacks and jogging. My husband loves this thing. He works two very physical jobs; has had ankle and knee pain for a couple of years. He jumps on this as soon as he gets home, works out very hard as he's really strong, and is thrilled that he can do this with no pain and still have a really good aerobic workout. Also, he goes to work very early in the morning so he jumps on the rebounder first for a few minutes and it wakes him right up for the long drive in the dark (we live in the mountains). Plus it's mood altering. You just end up smiling and have to jump on there a few times a day. It's pretty quiet, too. I don't hear my husband bouncing in the middle of the night in the next room while I'm sleeping.I knew when I ordered it that it does not come with the stabilizer bar as shown in the picture - that is an extra $87.00 or so, but we haven't needed it, although it would be fun to have for some of the more aggressive exercises we've seen on youtube. We like this so much that we're going to get a hard bounce for my husband before he bounces mine to death! His will fold so it's easier to get up and down the stairs if he wants to use it on the deck or watch workout DVD's downstairs. My daughter went right out and got when after I did and it's awesome for her kids who play less video games and bounce instead. At least two of my friends are getting one this month as well because they've seen the results. My husband has not lost weight but everything that wasn't muscle is turning into muscle!Hope this has been helpful, especially to anyone older who thinks they might want to give it a try.

Very sturdy, but a tad noisy
I decided to try rebounding as a form of daily exercise. I live in a one bedroom apartment and do not have a lot of room for large equipment. I'd heard a lot of good things about rebounding, and figured I could do it in the mornings before work & at night while watching TV. I decided to go for the Needak and spend the extra money rather than buy a cheap trampoline at Walmart for 1/4 the price only to have it break on me in a few months. So far, I think I made the right decision. The Needak is solid and it's very easy to fold the legs down and start using right out of the box. My only concern is that in my opinion, it is kind of noisy. The springs do creak quite a bit when I jump on it. I live on the bottom floor, but at times I'm afraid my neighbors can hear it. This especially concerns me when I'm jumping on it before work at 5:00 in the morning. No one has complained, and maybe I'm overestimating how far the noise might carry, but I still expected it to be a bit quieter. Nevertheless, I am enjoying it and would recommend for sturdiness and ease of use. It definitely gives a good workout if you jump for 20 minutes or more at a time. It's a great alternative if you want to move while watching TV in the evenings instead of just sitting on the couch. Maybe a little oil or lubricant on the springs might help the noise. I'll have to try it and see.
