Sauder Beginnings Dresser, Cinnamon Cherry Finish

Considering how inexpensive this was, it's an excellent value. However, without my husband's handyman skills, I could not have put it together. It's not terribly complicated, but requires some strength and I have none. I wanted something with a few shelves as well as drawers and this is one of the few reasonably priced ones that has that. Don't buy it if you're looking for wood; it's made of particle board and paper. However, it will last me for a long time and looks fine. Some people said the holes were not properly pre-drilled, but we never found that to be a problem with the exception of 2 in the back where some small nails go. My husband fixed that. All in all, quite nice.

Overall it’s an ok dresser for the price. It was tedious to assemble and although the instructions recommend you NOT use a power tool you’ll find instances where the pressure from hands alone won’t work and a power tool is needed.The drawers aren’t aligned properly and at one point wouldn’t even push in or lock in to the rails. It seems the panels on both sides were too tight so I had to remove the drawers them, flip the entire ASSEMBLED dresser upside down, unscrew the middle board, move it over slightly, realign (blindly) the holes and reassemble. The drawers fit now but there are still gaps.The panel doors have a huge gap in the middle and although I’ve tried to adjust per the manufacturers instructions (adjusting the inside screws up, down, side to side) it still hasn’t worked. I had to purchase stickers to improve the look of the dresser. Overall an ok product as I’ll still be able to use it, I just wouldn’t buy it a second time.

First product I ever got from Amazon that was such a huge disappointment. Screws went thru one of the front drawers. several scratches noted throughout product. handles are plastic. doors close with a crack in between so you can see inside the cabinet. DO NO ORDER. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Would have paid no more than $20 for this product. Not worth the money.

Product came broken. Cracked all the way through on the bottom panal and the design is torn off. Also cracked on the door.EDIT!!I went through the company and was able to order replacement parts for the broken pieces. VERY easy and VERY friendly responses. Haven't put anything in it yet - waiting for the replacement pieces. Seems pretty sturdy as we are using it to hold our TV right now. Once I have received pieces and have my clothes in it I will re-review.

Not the best materials and had a few small gaps between the doors but other than that can’t complain. Does what it should. Instructions were clear and not too hard to assemble.

Wife picked this out because she liked the style and the price. Like most advertising, the picture looks better than the actual product (when was the last time you unwrapped a Burger King Whopper that looked like they do on their commercials?). Instructions say not to use a power screwdriver, but this item uses quite a few 1.5 & 2 inch wood screws that will leave your hands and forearms sore when you are done with the assembly. The gap between the doors when closed is a lot more than expected. The drawers seem square and most of it went together fairly well. The worst part is installing the bottom to the sides - 2" wood screws that you have to align blindly into poorly drilled pilot holes (that part of the assembly could use some better engineering). Instructions were fairly good, but they flip the pieces between steps and that (esp step 1 & 4), which would be better if they laid out step one to align the parts for the next step that uses these parts (step 4).Pros: packaged very well, low price, no missing piecesCons: quality (dings, scuffs, surface blemishes), difficult assembly, not very durable (do not expect this piece would survive a move without repairs), fit of door fronts

This is a great throw away dresser, it will function as expected until you decide to move it too much and that's when the particle board will begin to fall apart. Its decent looking for a cheap dresser. For a guest room that doesn't get used often it fits the purpose.

I only decided to purchase this dresser as something quick as I needed something to replace the old one that'd finally broken down after over a decade. Honestly I was just buying this one to get something quick in the meantime and it was good for a few months. Assembly took a while and I remember it being pretty confusing to put it together but after a while I got it and mounted it to my wall. It stayed together pretty well for a while, however about 6 months in, the bottom of the middle and lower drawers started to "fall through" as if the clothes were to heavy for it. I'll admit I have a lot of clothes but my last older dresser held up fine with what I had. On top of that, opening the drawers are a nightmare and tend to get stuck the majority of the time. Overall you get what you pay for but I recommend going for something else as this isn't really the best option.
