These work great in my hair but the snap can hurt your head. I'm not sure I'd use them on a little kid unless I was really careful. I gave it 4 stars because the hair occasionally gets caught in the tip where the two pieces join. But there are enough of them that you can throw those out and still have plenty.

The media could not be loaded.  The tip of the inside clip is not fully painted, it’s silver. This may show through thin hair.

Yes, the paint chips and they will eventually be silver. Some of them will probably break but the ones that work, WORK. Theres so d**** many lol, Im not trippin on a few lost. They are the perfect size and exactly what I needed.

I love these little barrettes! They are the much smaller snap clips but aren’t glittery pink, etc. My hair has always been “fine” (read, you practically can’t even bend it) it slips right out of the grownup sized clips and, since I work with food, I need to keep it under control. But the “baby hairs” around my face were always sticking out. These work perfectly and don’t show as much as glitter pink (on a 56 year old - eeew) i love them!

These barrettes are very tiny which is why I bought them. The reason for the 4 stars is because some of the barrettes were rusted upon opening the package and the barrettes are not completely covered in the paint coating. I don't know that I will ever use all 70 of these barrettes, so having the option to purchase a smaller amount would be helpful. Overall, it is a decent product that otherwise works as expected.
