Includes 9 track instructions and accessories for creative building and STEM learning for kids 8+. Review: Fantastic! - Bought a set for my 8 year old grandson for Christmas. Best buy ever! He's played with nothing else since he got it. He received gift vouchers for Christmas and purchased another starter set. He's asked that instead of pocket money could we buy him an add-on every month. He is obsessed! He'll sit for hours tweaking and testing a run and even over a short period of time his runs are becoming more and more complex. I've never seen the appeal of marble runs before but after joining in and creating a run together (4 hours on the floor which my knees will never forgive me for) I get it. It's more than a marble run and so much fun. He hasn't looked at any of the usual electronic gadgets he'd usually be asking to play since he received this. He would usually be talking about Minecraft non stop but gravitrax has become his new obsession. His 6 year old sister is enjoying it too and its on her Christmas list already. Expensive but worth every penny. Review: Fantastic set - and fun to extend - My 6 year old and 4 year old spend hours every day playing with gravitrax sets - and seem to only be enjoying it more and more over time (we purchased the first set a full year ago!). Its a bit tricky for the 4 year old to work out how to make a good run, but he loves to watch his brother. Our 6 year old has always been obsessed with contraptions and marbles -- and really enjoys figuring out what works. He recently told us he liked it more than lego because it's easier for him to build more interesting things. I can see why the 8+ age range is appropriate for most kids. The rails are made of plastic, but none have broken yet. You need to set up carefully otherwise the balls fly off the track - but thats the fun part! Beware you might get sucked into adding more and more extensions over time. (The jumper and spiral are the best - the cable car one is the only piece that broke for us). ## Features - Warning:Children can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Keep uninflated balloons away from children. Discard broken balloons at once. - Warning:Not suitable for children under 36 months - Warning:Toy inside. Adult supervision recommended - The GraviTrax Starter Set includes 122 pieces (2 accessories) and 9 ready-to-go track instructions to start building your own unique designs, promising endless construction possibilites - STEM and construction toys for kids age 8 years up - Build new routes and create crazy trick shots, expand the marble run with new ideas, expansion sets to keep the ball rolling – compatible with all GraviTrax and GraviTrax PRO sets and accessories - Experiment with gravity to power your ball through twists, loops and turns in a race to the finish line – great building game for boys and girls - GraviTrax is made with premium quality materials adhering to the highest UK and EU standards and regulations - No batteries required. Clear instructions included to start playing with this fun brain game within minutes. Other accessories sold separately - Great Christmas gifts and birthday presents for children ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07B7HNLMG | | Age Range Description | 8 years | | Age range (description) | 8 years | | Best Sellers Rank | 159,323 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) 197 in Marble Runs | | Brand | GraviTrax | | Brand Name | GraviTrax | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 19,727 Reviews | | Educational Objective | STEM, Spatial Reasoning | | Educational objective | STEM, Spatial Reasoning | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04005556224104, 04005556275977 | | Included Components | 1x Set of Instructions, 1x Set of Blueprint, 1x Exercise booklet, 4x Card Bases, 2x Transparent levels, 6x Gravity Spheres, 3x Long Rails, 6x Medium Rails, 9x Short Rails, 1x Magnetic Cannon, 21x Curved Bases, 3x X intersection Bases, 1x Vortex Base, 2x Y Points Bases, 1x End target, 1x 3in1 Base, 4x Bases for inserts, 1x 3 Way Starter Base Insert, 2x Catcher Base Inserts, 2x Switches, 1x Base Ins… | | Item Dimensions | 33.8 x 33.8 x 11 centimetres | | Item Weight | 1.9 Kilograms | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 33.8 x 33.8 x 11 centimetres | | Manufacturer | Ravensburger | | Manufacturer Part Number | 27597 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 8 years and up | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | 27597 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Set Name | Starter Set | | Size | 33.8 cm x 33.8 cm x 11 cm | | Sub Brand | GraviTrax | | Theme | STEM | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** 8 years - **Brand:** GraviTrax - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 33.8 x 33.8 x 11 centimetres - **Material:** Plastic - **Size:** 33.8 cm x 33.8 cm x 11 cm ## Images ![Ravensburger GraviTrax Starter Set - Marble Run, STEM And Construction Toy Kids Age 8 Years And Up - Kids Gifts - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cV5UsVkHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: We lost the bag of special metal marbles that came with it? Can I order more?** A: visit, https://www.ravensburger.us/service/replacement-parts/index.html the mfg'r of the product. **Q: How many sets were used for the video?** A: starter Set and 3 extension **Q: Is there a way to make cannon less powerful? It shoots the balls out of the tracks and the layouts included do not work because of that.** A: Hi and thank you for your question. There is no way to make the cannon less “powerful”. The best option is to work with the track pieces and adjust the set up so the cannon's energy is not as much when coming around the tracks. We also find that the cannon is great way to get your marble up a incline - gives it the extra boost of power that it needs! **Q: Can you buy extra colored Gravitrax marbles?** A: According to my grand daughter no, but it comes with plenty of marbles. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic! *by B***S on 15 January 2022* Bought a set for my 8 year old grandson for Christmas. The weight of it reminded me of old fashioned games. It has really strong and well constructed pieces, loads of space for creativity and a few course ideas to get you started. It’s well packaged and sturdy and will last and last. It’s great that you can buy add ons and special pieces like trampolines and cannons. This starter set has everything you need to enjoy playing and designing. My daughter loved this so much she spent the rest of her Christmas money buying cool add ons. The add ons seem like good value to me, you get rail pieces, extra balls etc thrown in with the extras. Gravitrax is well worth the money, fun for all ages, educational, durable and creative. We all like playing with this. Give it a go! Makes a great prezzie. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ravensburger Gravitrax Starter Set Marble Run | STEAM Accredited Toy | Ideal for Kids Age 8 & Up | Perfect for Endless Indoor Family Activity | Ranked No.1 Marble Run System in The U.S. - ThinkFun Gravity Maze Marble Run Brain Game and STEM Toy for Boys and Girls Age 8 and Up: Toy of the Year Award Winner - Snap Circuits Classic SC-300 Electronics Exploration Kit | Over 300 Projects | Full Color Manual Parts | STEM Educational Toy for Kids 8+ 2.3 x 13.6 x 19.3 inches --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.au/products/71217415-ravensburger-gravitrax-starter-set-marble-run-stem-and-construction-toy](https://www.desertcart.com.au/products/71217415-ravensburger-gravitrax-starter-set-marble-run-stem-and-construction-toy) --- *Product available on Desertcart Australia* *Store origin: AU* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
