In boat I installed it did not improve the strength of the signal , was poor 1 bar and remained poor 1 bar . Useless thing.

I connected this to a TP link mr600 router. On a 15m cable it basically gives the same signal as the native aerials when both are in the same place, but when mounted up high the signal is much better. Once I'd mounted on a boat I shortened the cable to 10m. Reception then improved but terminating sma cables is tricky. A few points to note:1 - Long cable runs are deadly. I think 10m is the max for this - and you need great quality coax cable2 - On a boat mounting on the mast is like to be problematic due to reflection etc3 - Unlike many attenas it doesn't come wut a pigtail. This is good because you avoid a join which can be a problem.

Installed one of these up a 10m mast, connected to a E5186. The boat is in a poor reception are using the three network. It gets about between 1-2 bar on the router. I then compared the signal strength with a E5577 also on three's network. It was the same signal strength, using only the internal antenna at ground level. Very disappointing.After exhaustive testing I discovered it was the E5186, not the antenna. The router has no auto/manual antenna selector and refuses to detect there is an external antenna fitted. There is a youtube video on this issue which claims the router needs to see a low DC resistance. So tried this too, again no luck. In the end have got a new router, still nees testing with the antenna.
