It works well in my cordless phone and gives long talking time.

There are a lot of choices for knock-off batteries on Amazon for these Uniden phones. I went with Lenmar as I have used their batteries in my Canon DSLR in the past with no ill effects.They plugged straight in and most of them even had some level of charge. The instructions say to fully charge them first, and that it may take a few charge cycles to get them up to full capacity, but that is normal for these type of batteries. I like the fact that they are higher capacity than the original ones they replaced. And for those that haven't looked, the "original" ones are probably made by the same company and in the same plant as most of these "knock-offs". They are unbranded made in China batteries.For the cost, I don't expect to have any complaints. I replaced the batteries in all my handsets at the same time for less than it used to cost for one replacement battery for these types of handsets. Gotta love it.

Received this battery from amazon.com 16 days ago. Installed it in a Uniden DECT 2080 Cordless Phone handset to replace an original Uniden battery. After approximately 1 year of almost daily use, the original battery would stay charged for only 15-20 minutes before my handset would die in the middle of a phone conversation. When I first installed the battery, the handset battery-charge indicator showed that the battery was at the fully charged level. Nevertheless, I charged the new battery overnight. The next day, after talking on the handset for more than 95 continuous minutes, the handset battery-charge indicator showed that the battery still had a full charge. The battery fits neatly into the handset battery compartment except that the wire on the new battery is slightly longer than the wire on the original battery. After placing the battery into the battery storage compartment, I had to shape and bend the battery wire with my fingers to fit it into the remaining very tight space inside the compartment. This required close concentration because with the slightly longer battery wire, the battery compartment has barely enough space to hold the battery and the wire. If a gremlin came in the middle of the night while I was sleeping and stole the battery from my handset, I would order another immediately because after 16 days of use I am very satisfied so far with the performance of this battery - 5 Stars.ASIN: B001U3076I Lenmar Uniden Replacement Battery (CBBT1008).

The price is really right. They allow these phones to work like new. More talk time is the instant gratification. And as long as you like your phones, it'll keeps you from having to buy a new set just because the batteries have had it. But I'm sure a lot of people throw perfectly good cordless phones away only due to weak or dead batteries. It's really a shame!For the price of these, why not give them a try if the phones are working, but starting to give low battery warning after anywhere from under a minute to whatever amount of time. If you're on a speaker phone (in the handset) it will will drain the batteries even quicker. The speaker phone function draws a lot more current from the batteries. They'll usually die much sooner. This is typically where a weaker phone battery will show it's on the way out and obviously this is frustrating.

I have 3 Model DECT2080 Uniden phones that I got refurbished. I liked them a lot, but after about a year two of them started malfunctioning. I was thinking of getting rid of them, but I suspected that the problem might have been that the batteries were getting old. So I ordered these batteries to replace the old ones.What a marvelous difference. It has been a few months now, and I couldn't be happier. My phones are all working perfectly, and I no longer have to worry about the phone battery dying before I can finish a call.As a side note, it wasn't too much trouble for me to just drop the spent batteries off at a local office supply store for recycling. However, it would have been nice if Amazon had included a postage paid return bag, so that I could have done it all through Amazon.

I will be very honest, I have absolutely tossed out cordless phones to go to Costco and buy a new 5 pack or whatever they have these days. The reason? because they were no longer holding a charge! Dumb I know. But, this time I thought why not just try some batteries? So, off to Amazon I went and found these. Ordered 4 of them to go in my 4-pack of Uniden phones I got at Costco as described above. Charged them over night and guess what? THEY HOLD A CHARGE AGAIN! Serious, that easy. I can now leave the phones off the cradle for days and still have the indicator showing 100% Hands down, excellent purchase.
