A very lemony, not too sweet limoncello.
I liked this a lot. There are many different limoncello's available, and trying to find one you really like, can be a little hit and miss. For me, this is the one I shall buy going forward. For those that don't know, limoncello is a lemon liqueur from Italy. Coming in at 28% alcohol by volume, it is quite potent. This variety is made in Italy, from yellow summer lemons, and green winter lemons, infused in a grape spirit. With no added colours, it is a lot less of a fluorescent yellow than many others. Instead being more the colour of a lemon squash.Taste wise, at first you get the sweetness, followed by the kick of lemon and alcohol at the back of your throat. Not an acidic sharpness, but a warming lemony alcoholic hit.Perfect for drinking either before or after a meal. Also perfect in between courses to cleanse your palate.I also add a healthy splash into my lemon meringue pie. I can highly recommend that.Overall, I can finally say, I've found a natural Limoncello, that for me hits all the right spots.I will happily be buying again.I hope you found this review helpful.

Almost too tasty
Having sampled much local limoncello in the Amalfi Coast last year, this is the closest I've found in the UK. The balance of sweetness and sharpness is perfectly balanced and can be tweaked with the serving temperature which can accentuate or hide the grappa undertones. It tastes great from the freezer or the counter, however on a hot sunny evening I love it from the fridge. Be warned though, it's very easy to drink but comes with a 30% ABV hit and full grappa-style hangover experience the next day. Pretty reasonable value for 700ml, rather than the typical 500ml

Good representation of a taste of Italy
True likeness of a limoncello I remember in Italy. Need to keep it in the fridge with very cold (perhaps frozen) glasses to fully appreciate it
