Be careful of Floating Strap
This is a great camera, it takes good pics, small and lightweight, the only problem is the floating strap. I was in Mexico in an underwater cavern and the strap broke (I only used it 2 times). The piece pulled out of the stitched area while I was snorkling. (it did not catch on anything it pulled out just from swimming). My camera and all of my pics were lost in the bottom of the cavern. For such a quality camera I was very sad at the poorly made floating strap. My $400 camera that I just received as a gift was lost.

I was just amazed
I used this snorkeling in Tahiti for 4 weeks with no issues. The macro shots are just amazing. I love this thing. Only regret is I should have bought one for my wife too. She kept steeling it. Great battery life. I have some very high end photography equipment and I just left it home and put this in my shorts pocket. Macro of all the flowers was amazing. Just buy one and you will see yourself. 2 of these are cheaper than some of my lenses.

Microscopic macro setting is amazing
No review on face recognition because I use this entirely for macro photos. It makes me happy just to use this camera!!!I don’t actually know anything about cameras, just that this is the newest version of a camera I bought and loved several years ago. The controls are pretty intuitive, I don’t even know what all this thing does but BOY does it take great pictures of really small bugs.
