SmithlineSL-400 Professional Grade Coping Saw

This is a solidly built coping saw, and is exactly what I needed for trimming a 1.5 x 1.5 inch board of seasoned red oak. With a new blade, it cut through the thick HARD wood with ease. My older, and more cheaply constructed, coping saw wasn’t able to handle the job that this heavy-duty saw just completed. Great coping saw at a modest price.

Well put together and having a set of blade to go through to make sure it performs is nice. Handle adjustment is smooth and holds without slipping while working.

Shipped damaged! At first I thought it was just the design but once I opened the other coping saw it was normal. So I’m going to try and bend it back ....we’ll see. Kinda disappointed I received a jacked up one for my $20

Nice little saw well made for the price

As an individual who does not buy a lot of tools or use a lot of tools, this saw is ok. I bought it because I am a science teacher who needed it for hands-on projects. However, it is not the most sturdy of tools. I use it to cut dowel and other small pieces of wood- would never give it to students. It does its job for me, but would not recommend for someone else looking for an actual tool to use in their tool box.
