It is a pain to not have a comprehensive installation manual in the box. Setting up the primary functions were easy and done without the manual, but the nifty gritty settings line notifications were not so straight forward. Sent them a email requesting the new manual, send asked about setting up email notification. I received the following statement "Please kindly note that this camera system is for surveillance and the main function is live view the cameras and playback videos. For email alerts, some works and some don't. Please understand." Really? That is one of the reasons I bought this system. There was a whole section about email alerts in the description. If this function is iffy maybe you shouldn't feature it. The description on amazon does say it can send alerts to the app but again don't have a manual tip tell me how to set that up an i do not see is anything in the system for that either. Other than these manual issue and email it does have a great picture. And setting up the cameras was very easy, but I gave it 2 stars for install because the lack of a manual to setup the most important features.

This system was easy to install and setup. The camera feed is clear and with proper positioning of the cameras, we have full coverage of the areas we want to monitor. We had a little difficulty logging back into the system after a power outage in our building. We contacted the manufacturer and they very quickly called us to help us resolve the issue. We spoke to Fiona Lee who was very helpful and able to get back into our admin system. We highly recommend this system. Thank you so much for your help Fiona Lee!!!

I HAVE FOUND THE SAFEVANT 8ch WIRELESS CAMERA SYSTEM VERY EASY TO SET UP, PICTURE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT ,ALSO IF YOU NEED HELP WITH SET UP THE SERVICE I FIND TO BE ONE OF THE BEST.THE SERVICE IS FROM CHINA BUT THEY WILL GET BACK TO YOU, FOUND VERY HELPFUL.

I purchased this unit to boost my outdoor security. I did a quick test to make sure all the components worked. I then determined the coverage I needed of my property and appropriately position the cameras. Installation required some elbow grease with connections to protected electrical outlets nicely concealled. Then I initiated all six cameras in the system. It is straight forward and user friendly. My technical questions were answered quickly, both by phone and email prior to my purchase. Kudos to them for their accurate responses. I previously considered an alternative company and DVR package but they could not provide the service and answer basic questions about the system they sold. Safesky, Safevant was a good choice. Mission complete.

This wireless camera security system works well...now. When setting it up, I got an error message that there was no hard drive in it. There had to be a hard drive because I could feel it whirring. The manual addresses this problem and tells you to unscrew the case and check the connections. I did this and found the data connector between the HD and the mother board was not connected.I had no trouble getting the images to display on my smart phone. At first, I was getting a lot of false alarms, but I lowered the sensitivity of the cameras which solved that problem.I would rate this system a 5, but only gave it a 4 because of the unconnected hard drive.

I use it at home and the clarity is great both indoors and outdoors. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend safevant cameras to my friend.
