Excellent chain lube
Bike chain lubes open up a lot of discussion on bike forums, so it really comes down to a cyclist's preference. I've used wax lubes and didn't care for them. Rock N Roll make different lubes for different riding conditions. I only ride on dry roads so this particular lube works very well for me. I've used it for five years and had no problems. I clean and lube my chains every 100 miles and get good mileage out of them

As good as fans of R'n'R Absolute Dry claim, but plan to apply it often
Rock 'n' Roll Absolute Dry might persuade me away from waxing my chains. It feels at least as slick as waxed chains, not quite as clean running but much cleaner than any other wet lube I've tried. Plan on applying it pretty much every ride -- it starts out quiet but after about 20 miles chain noise is audible. It probably doesn't need to be applied every ride, but if you like a quiet chain, figure on applying it every 20-50 miles. I'm guessing it's mostly PTFE in naptha, but it sure works as claimed by Rock 'n' Roll and fans of Absolute Dry. It leaves a slick feel that isn't like oil or wax, and doesn't attract gunk around the rear derailleur pulleys like most oils and even some liquid waxes like White Lightning Easy Lube.

I use both Red & Gold - depends on the bike/conditions
I’m a long-time user of Rock N Roll Gold but I thought I’d give the red (Absolute Dry) version a try on my dedicated trainer bike. That bike’s always indoors so obviously it’s used in the driest possible conditions. Amazingly, I might actually be even happier with this stuff than I am with the Gold and I LOVE the gold. I apply it generously to my chain every once in a while, wipe it off, and my drivetrain has never run smoother. My cog and chain also looks incredibly clean. It worked so good on my trainer bike that I decided to use it on my road bike as well. Since I mostly ride in dry conditions the results have been the same. I’m now sold on the red for my road bikes and the gold for my gravel bike and mtb. I’ve tried a lot of lubes and nothing beats Rock N Roll.

Your chain shouldn't sound like Cap'n Crunch
I don't have any dry lube to compare it to, because it's all I've used for 20 years on a path covered in quarry grit. That substance will funk up your drive train something awful. The grit and dust get in every bit of the chain and really wear the gears. Total grossout.I dig RnR because you can actually see it penetrating the links. Super-viscous is what you need in a dry lube. After some rides I've compared chains with (weekend/"Let's get the bikes out!"-type) cyclists who use WD-40 or whatever, and the grit adheres to their pins and rollers. Now, you can be any kind of rider you want to be: Big Daddy Derailleur or Huffy Schlub. That's fine. Just don't be the rider listening to your chain go Crunch! Crunch! Crunch! A bottle of RnR will last pretty much forever.

Took the ticking sound out of my chain.
There was an annoying ticking sound coming from my somewhere in my drive train for days. After a cleaning and application of Rock N Roll Absolute Dry Lube directly to the chain, the sound went away. My chain (and bike) runs so much smoother now.Compared to Rock N Roll Gold lube, Absolute Dry lube takes more shaking and constant agitation to mix the product well. Absolute Dry comes off easier when wet than RnR Gold, but for arid conditions (like here in So Cal) it is perfect.

If you ride on good roads in dry weather this is the best road bike lube on the market.
Rock N Roll lubricants are the best product for cleaning and lubing the chain that I've ever used in my 20 years of road bike cycling on clean roads and beach sandy bike paths.Previously I used Roll N Gold which was outstanding. But I live in a perfect climate for riding where moisture is not a problem. Consequently, I switched recently from Gold to Absolute Dry and it works even better than the Gold. Absolute lubes and cleans as good Gold but afterward, the chain stays cleaner and rejects dirt best with the Absolute Dry. After my ride when I wipe my chain with a rag it shines up like it is brand new and wipes off better with the Absolute Dry than the Gold.

Good lube, iffy bottle
Used on a Mountain bike in mainly dry conditions. Seems to hold up well, 20 miles or so. No real build up over time. Does not shift quite as well as my other lube, Extreme Purple. The only thing I don't like is the bottle. It is IMPOSSIBLE to control the first drips when the bottle is tipped over. Be prepared to dump 2 or 3 drips on the ground when the bottle is first tipped.

awesome chain lube
Been riding for almost 10 years now and used lots of lube, but upon a friends recommendation I ordered some of the absolute dry and let me tell you this is some really good lube. I ride around 120 miles a week and reapply once a week let me tell the chain stays really clean, when you wipe it off you get the normal black stuff coming off on the rag but this lube cleans really well and shifts really well also. I have the Gold and Extreme but this Absolute is my go to lube. Highly recommend!!

It really does what it claims
It is a great dry lube!!! Normally you shouldn't apply dry lube to your dirty chain but somehow this lube also removes the dirt (just a bit of it); still, apply it after you clean your chain and cassette. Overall very satisfied!
