I'm a big fan of Torchbearer sauces and also a fan of spicy mustard, so when I saw that they offered their own version I couldn't help myself. It's decent, don't get me wrong, but I was expecting a serious punch in the nasal cavity with a serious mustard burn, but this just doesn't quite do it for me. I was looking for something that would replace the often weak spicy mustard you get with Chinese food, but this just didn't quite do it. It's decently flavored, but it's not nearly as flexible as I had hoped. For me it's basically a good sauce for hot dogs. Personally I'll pass on it going forward and I will continue my search for the perfect spicy mustard sauce.

This brand has always been sold in glass containers. Now all of a sudden it's plastic. A warning would have been nice on the ad. GFY!

Not very spicy. Completely overwhelmed by the food one puts it on. Disappointing.

My new go to mustard

I found Torchbearer through a friend years ago and tasted a lot of their stuff at a local beer festival. I've always remembered them by their really cool labels. I was so happy when they rolled out their line of mustards, because honestly I use mustard all the time, and hot sauces very infrequently.Anyway out of their products that I use, this one gets the most use, right behind their Honey BBQ Sauce. To a pepper head the burn will be on the more mild end of things, but to the average person I imagine they would get a bit of a burn. I used to be a pepper head and so my tolerance to spice is still extremely high, it's just my stomach that does not do well with really spicy things any longer. Either way though, this does not upset my stomach at all.What I like most about this mustard is that it isn't really a mustard spice like I expected. Usually with spicy mustards you get a mustard burn that rips through your nostrils, but with this one you get a nice burn from fresh peppers that builds as you eat more. Surprisingly when you mix peppers with the mustard flavor you get a nice flavorful spice as opposed to the sinus clearing. I use this on sandwiches and burgers all the time, and get complements from my friends. You can really taste a difference between this and say Guldens or Grey Poupon. It almost feels like this is a completely different kind of product. It is more like a wonderful fusion of Mustard and Hot Sauce, where the mustard is the forerunner.I always recommend this to all of my friends on a diet as well as it is only 5 calories per serving as opposed to something like mayonnaise.Anyway I love this mustard, and I love Torchbearer Sauces.

This is by far, without a doubt, the very best spicy mustard I've ever had! True mustard flavor, nice kick, not overwhelming, perfectly balanced. I hate mustards that the first flavor is vinegar, but not this one. I refuse to buy any other mustard, except their Honey Mustard.

This mustard sauce is so good. It is the best topping on just about anything. Eggs, sandwiches, fish, meats, etc. Cooking with it. Dipping sauce for Pretzels. WoW! Great sauce !
