Never Can Say Goodbye: Writers on Their Unshakable Love for New York

The book is very well assembled, as you know, the book is made of different essays of writers talking about their life in NYC, some stories begin with people native from the big apple while others are from people that make their way to live there.Many of this stories kept a smile on my face as I was reading them, they are emotive and each one has it's own personality. Of course there are some that are better than others as in pace or interest, but overall they make a bigger scope of what NYC ir about.It also helps you to learn more about the city's nos so known landmarks, history or character, althought they are not developed only mentioned, if you are interested enough, you are only a click away from learning more.My fav story by far is the one involving the Coyote Ugly. If I 'd recommend this book it'd be just for that essay alone. It's that good.

I wanted so bad to love this book given my adoration for everything NYC, but it didn’t live up to my expectations.In my opinion, the quality of the stories is pretty irregular. While some were pretty good and totally reflected why I’m so fond of “The” city, I found scratching my head at others and wondering the reason they were included in this tribute to NYC.

Great compilation of personal stories about how New York tends to stay embedded in you once you leave. Some stories better than others - but taken together you have got to love the variety of perspectives.

I recommend this book to anyone who has ever fantasized about New York City or grew up in the city or planning on moving there. It really reminds you that we are all human and face similar task and have similar experiences. Whether it is a relationship, your family, spouse, lack-there-of, it's for you.

Reading these essays made me so proud to be a New Yorker. I couldn't put it down. I swelled with pride. I beamed with recognition of the places, things and feelings. I will read these essays again and again, to remind myself that I too can never say goodbye.

Excellent book, highly recommend it and definitely a must-read that was adored. I gave this to my mother and she loved it also!

A wonderful read, I love all books written about New York, so anyone who loves New Yorkwill enjoy this book. Very interesting and informative on reading the different views and thoughtsof the different writers who still live there,

I have given this book as a gift on numerous occasions and everyone has been thrilled upon receiving it. After they've finished reading it they almost always want to discuss it in detail. I highly recommend it!

Another excellent collection of essays. Sari Botton's two books are the best reads of the past year.
