Excellent, but...
After way too many years of yanking up my toolbelt way too often, I finally purchased suspenders for them. The suspenders work great, but are on the short side. I'm 5'11" and have the straps maxed out and the suspenders bring the tool belt above my waist - higher than where I usually wear pants/belts, etc. A little uncomfortable at first, but once I realized I made it through a whole day without once hitching up my belt, I knew I would get used to them. The gel pads are comfortable, albeit a little warm. But let's face it, anyone who actually works outside is no stranger to being warm/sweaty/ uncomfortable/overall miserable in the middle of summer. The cell phone pocket - because the suspenders are high - actually ends up very close to the top of my shoulder. Again, it's just a matter of getting used to and as an added bonus the cell phone is closer to my ear and I don't have to fish around for it in my pocket. Ditto for the pencil holders on the opposite strap.

NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION
I purchased these tool-belt suspenders not for a tool belt, but to convert some oversized hunting pants into more of a bib (getting them professionally altered to fit would have cost more than the pants themselves!). Even at their shortest length, the suspenders were still too long, so my wife did a little additional stitching to double up the straps, and, voila, instant bib!The suspenders are solidly constructed and stitched up. and the padding on the shoulders and back made them extremely comfortable to wear (and made wearing my daypack that much more comfortable!). The alligator clips did not really grip the fabric of my pants (thick, slick, and waterproof), but held together just fine when attached to/through the belt loop). I have no doubt that it would latch onto the canvas of tool belts with no problems at all. I ended up running after my quarry through thigh-deep snow, and everything stayed in place.Given that I was in no way using these suspenders for their intended purpose, I have no doubt that they are excellent for they are supposed to do.

Not as good as in the photo
I was a little disappointed with these suspenders. It seems to me that in the photograph the "base", that has the padding and the straps attached to it, comes down lower in the chest area than when you are actually wearing it. When the photo was taken the suspenders were flatten out on a table making it look longer than it actually is. It fools you when you look at the photo making you think this is how the suspenders will lay on your chest. This is the reason why some people complain after buying it that the straps are too short. The manufacturer should make this "base" longer so when you are wearing it it will look the same as in the photograph.

Good product but could be better
I'm 23 and work as an ironworker, suspender are awesome and the shoulder padding definitely feels better than having the rebar sit directly on your shoulder. Only downside is that the clips come undone once in a while and i don't know how to set it so that when I lean over I'm not being strangled by the clip in the front of your chest

brown bag harness
decent product, fast delivery, well made. Having a few issues with the clips popping off generally when I stretch and I have a paslode gun hanging off my tool belt. To be expected though when used with a tool belt that wasn't designed for use with a harness. Wish the phone holder was smart phone size however. I haven't had a phone that small for years. Might just use it to hold some starbursts or something. ;).

Clasp
I really like the product.Comfortable however, the back clasp came undone several times on the first day.No doubt it will only progressively worsen.I plan to send it back for an EXCHANGE.Because once u feel the comfort of these suspenders u wont mind so I hope it is just a defective one.I'm an electrician so my tools don't weigh as much as many other tradesmen.I will keep u posted.

Work great
I'm an electrician and use these for commercial work. These work great and are comfortable because of the shoulder pads. The only complaint I have is the metal clips that attach to the tool belt can break easily if stepped on or rolled over so careful where you leave your bags.

Good for carpenter with heavy toolbelt. Or mountain climber
Strong, rigid, durable, stylish but This toolbelt holster/suspender would have been better without the cell phone pouch located on the left strap. It uncomfortably rubs up against your neck, plus most people like myself have an iphone or blackberry which doesn't fit in the tiny pouch anyway
