My kids LOVE this!!!
People who are saying these posters don’t have a lot of information are missing the point. They are posters, not encyclopedia entries. The information is good: every poster has the name, the dates they lived, and their major accomplishments. Each one even has the type of inspirational quote our children should be reading. Honestly, most of the quotes were new to me. I enjoyed just flipping through the book and reading them. Here are a few at random“Any man worth his salt will stick up for what he believes right, but it takes a slightly better man to acknowledge... that he is in error.” —Andrew Jackson“Children are our most valuable natural resource.” —Herbert Hoover“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”—Thomas EdisonThe cute part is that the poster always have “Here’s Something You Probably Didn’t Know About Me” that speaks directly to kids. For Ulysses S. Grant, it says “Here’s something you may not know about me: my real name was Hiram Ulysses Grant, and I was afraid that other boys would make fun of my initials spelling “HUG”—when my name was changed by mistake in some paperwork, I didn’t say anything! That’s cute and a perfect way for kids to connect with historical figures. For the cost of a pizza I received 100 posters, 100 inspirational quotes, 100 reminders that these great people were once kids. Very happy to have the kids see these every day! Five stars!

Not very diverse
The posters are okay - especially for elementary grades. However, the diversity in the book is very limited-and of course limited to people students already know - Dr. King, Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, Caesar Chavez. Not imaginative. Not something I think would stimulate student discussion

Not what I expected
Book looked like it was printed by a home printer that was running out of ink. Not impressed.

Famouse Americans
This book is good for almost any grade level. I used it when I taught 2nd, I just had a sixth grade teacher that borrowed it and gave it back yesterday. She said it worked great!

Two Stars
Low quality, very little information included. Not worth the $14.40 I paid.

Poorly compiled list of famous people.
Only 18 of the 100 famous people are women. Not even Harriet Tubman made the cut. The information given is scant at best. Save your money and look elsewhere.
