Antares Audio Auto-Tune 7 Native Audio Plug-in

I spoke with Antares on the phone and am editing this review--slightly. Original review is below in quotes. Apparently on the Antares site, they do acknowledge that an iLok is required, so that's a bit better. BUT it's not mentioned on the amazon Prime page that I bought it from. The person on the phone said they require the purchase of iLok because otherwise the software can be cracked too easily, resulting in lost revenues by illegal downloaders. What this means--- they pass the cost of encryption on to the consumer. And, they do it by forcing you to buy iLok, which has TERRIBLE customer reviews. Absolutely terrible. So I added a star (now they get 2 stars) and clarified that they did in fact disclose this requirement on their website. I still find it unacceptable to require the purchase of a problematic piece of encryption (HELLO, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, ANTARES.. NOT MINE. Don't you see the irony in requiring the honest consumer to buy PROTECTION FOR YOU??? to pay for YOUR PROTECTION? Is that lost on you? No, it's not. But, your actuaries did the math and you decided you would stand to profit more with this disingenuous yet legal business practice). Cheers."How dare you sell a product that requires the purchase of another product ( iLok ) without specifying that! Amazon.com offers your product, sold by Antares, and no where in the details or description does it state an iLok is necessary. Shame on you.For those of you reading this who are not Antares, yes, you are supposing correctly, I bought Autotune 7, and found upon opening it that you must also purchase an iLok USB drive ($40). Which not only costs money, but also time. Furthermore, the reviews for iLok are awful, indicating once you buy the iLok they make it so painful to not buy warranty that you end up spending even more. They get you not once but 3 times.Antares, seriously, run your business right."

Now this software got the job done! It worked just the way I wanted it to. It's very useful in polishing your tracks.My advice is just to stay away from any physical Antares hardware voice pitching modules. They are just not up to par with this boxed software.
