This was exactly what I was looking for. Grocery stores near me don't sell it anymore. It's quite a bit more than what I used to pay for it in stores, so not a super good value. However it is a specialty item so it's fine for everyone now in then. This is cracked white hominy. Hominy kernels are huge and since these are often split in half they're about the thickness of a single yellow corn kernel. I made Ecuadorian morocho (spiced corn pudding drink). Flavor was perfect. Not strong but subtle. More for texture in this type of warm milky spiced drink. Laylita's website has a recipe for it and it worked perfectly.

I am Choctaw and we use this style of cracked hominy for a traditional dish called Tonchi Labona. I moved away from Oklahoma and wasn't able to find this cracked hominy, little pricey but I make it last

This product may be good for other recipes but for my purpose it was not good. I was making Brazilian canjica and it was not the same quality/results as other brands
