Works great for sharpening tools and scissors
I bought this diamond sharpener to sharpen kitchen scissors and garden tools such as loppers. It works well. The diamond grit is probably around 325 or so - hard to tell with new diamond hones, which often start with a coarse feel but wear down to their actual grit after a bit of use.One side is flat with a groove for fish hooks. The other side has a curved surface like a half-round file. The handle is adequate for my medium large hands. Easy to hold and use.Probably works OK for restoring an initial edge on a very dull knife, but then you would want to go to finer grits, maybe a 600 and finally 1200 (adequate for general purpose).

Works well for what I bought it for!
I use this mainly to sharpen some of my pottery trimming tools. The tapering of this tool really is helpful when trying to sharpen tools of various size. Most of my pottery tools are loops, so this tool works really well with sharpening the round areas as well. Overall, I like it! I don't use it often so I haven't noticed any faulty-ness. For the price point, it was definitely worth it.

Innovative diamond-coated file
Just used this excellent file to sharpen a serrated bread knife and some steak knives. The varied profile of this file - tapered; and flat on one side, rounded on the other - allows it to reach into serrations easily. It also functions like a whetstone on the flat side for sharpening and de-burring blades. What a deal, at this price !

Same's well made
I bought it to sharpen some handheld curved farming tools or it's quite nice for that. I wouldn't try to sharpen a good pocket knife.

It works. Quality just OK
PROS: It worked to sharpen several dull scissors. I have not tried on pruners yet, but I'm sure it will work fine there too. Also one side is curved which will work nicely on curved pruners.CONS: Handle is junk. It wobbles in it's grommets, the metal shaft does not match the wood handle which leaves a indent which is uncomfortable to grip firmly. The handle is too short for my hand and I'm not able to use the top 1/3 of the sharpening tip unless I inch up on to the sharpener part of the shaft.

Work's great !
It puts a quick ruff edge on anything you want to sharpen !I don't like most factory edges <a flat grind blade is my FavoriteI rough up the blade till I get a flat grind ,then work the blade with finer hones to get my knives Razor sharp!I think it is a good buy !WMQ

after 2 years...
it worked really well or almost 2 years doing occasional garden tool sharpening but has now lost most of its grit and sharpening power...but the design and price are good enough to get me to order another one..ðŸ¤
