IONtech IT-757 Advanced Alkaline Water Ionizer Machine 7 pH Water Levels, Platinum Titanium Electrolysis Plates

3 week review:So I've been using this machine daily for about 3 weeks now. It had been on my shopping list for years and suddenly went on a flash sale so I bought it.It's easy to set up and control - the tubing is unsightly but what are you gonna do? All tubing connections are very secure and the clamps should prevent any leaks for years to come. Yes you can cut the tubing to length - I did not in case I want to re-position it.The water tastes great, all evidence of chlorine is removed and you can smell the negative ions - as far as Fluoride goes from what I understand it is very hard to remove but maybe the electrolysis helps?I just hit the first cleaning cycle the other day and it is very easy to do - when the red clean light lights up you just press the green button next to it and it does a 2 min singsong while it flushes the ions plates - it then resumes back to the setting you had it on.Now do I feel better? Well hard to say - the water is very refreshing and satisfying and tastes super clean. I haven't used the acid water for any cleaning yet so I can't say if that is useful.Is it worth over $700? Well I would say after many years of use Yes - never having to buy bottled water again can add up and the filters last about 1600 gallons.

I wanted a unit delivering high expectations, having the RIGHT components (platinum coated titanium plates), and won't break the bank. Money was an issue for me as there are many units out there that you can expect to pay 2 and 3 times as much for the same results. Be careful! Having done my homework, I purchased this unit. This unit DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT'S SUPPOSE TO DO. It deliver's correct pH and ORP responses on all settings. I know because I use a Hanna Instruments HI 98121 pH/ORP/Temperature tester. The tester is very accuracte when used correctly. On a side note, If you buy a tester make sure you purchase "reference solution" for calibration accuracy. The Ionizer comes with many fittings for your sink application. I did not want to bother with that, so I also purchased a (stand alone) "ionizer faucet" for ease of use. That way, I do not have the lines attached to my primary faucet and I can use the unit on the countertop. The facet is great for delivering discharged water. IntelGadgets sells many to choose from. Do I think it's the best on the market? No. But I think it delivers with excellet results for the least cost. Now, if it lasts, all the better!

Very disappointed in this product. It was fine for a few months but after about 6 months it was tasting awful. I used the "clean" feature with no change in the taste. The filter showed it was far from needing a replacement. I should add that only 1 person used the machine for alkaline water and only filled a water bottle twice a day... so a new filter should not have been the issue. It was past the return date but I wrote to company to get advise on the problem. The response was to get a new filter and reset the number count. I wrote again asking if they would supply a new filter as the machine was not indicating that a replacement was needed and it was only a few months old. No response. What an awful waste of $850 for something that only lasted 6 months! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE -- don't waste your money on this!

I have had this for a year and it still is not saying that it needs a new filter. Do they last this long or is this a defect?

Update 10/10/16 :Sorry been busy lately. The good news is I manage to get the ORP to -270 on the highest setting (still a disappointment as the unit displays -400 not -270).A few changes has been applied :1. reduce the outflow of water to 1.5L / min2. Do not run it for more than 1.5 gallon like I used to (5 gallon each time). The machine gets really warm.Warm weather imo affecting the ORP results.I'm thinking of cleaning it by running a white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide before I change the filternb: did an update a few days ago but no email or update to this review.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I bought this unit from amazon on may 2nd with an ORP tester just to be sure that it does what it says. For the first couple of weeks the results were consistent to what the machine displayed. For ie when I turned it's setting to the highest, it displayed an ORP around -400, but this week I only get -176. I understand that the device self-cleans it self after each use and the light indicator goes red when its time to be cleaned manually. I do that too religiously. Even when the light is off, after filling up a 4-5 gallons, I always run it only if the machine allows it. FYI, the water before going into the machine has an inline filter that I bought at the same time when I bought this machine. Cuz I don't want any unwanted minerals to ruin the life of the machine.1. Does it need to be clean with an acid?2. What went wrong?I will update the the 2 star if things got better or a solution is provided. Been promoting this machine to friends but now I feel disappointed. Wondering when it will not produce a negative ORP water again.

(Update: After 7 years of owning this, it's still doing great and tastes great).I doubted if this product would be worth it or not before purchasing it.After using it for a few months, I would recommend it to anyone. When first using it, my wife and I noticed how much smoother and easier it was to drink than regular filtered water. Our cat (like most cats) hardly ever drank water, but after giving her this, she drinks her waterbowl dry and her digestive problems improved greatly.The biggest testament to this product came after our trip. We had been away from our water filter for about 2 weeks, drinking normal filtered/bottled/tap water. When we got back and could have our IONtech filtered water again, we just wanted to have glass after glass of it.
