The one and only con of using this bag is the shear bulk. It is not for tight or crowded environments, so probably not a school bag unless your school has a lot more classroom and locker space than mine did.This pack is heavy duty, made of sturdy material with strong stitching. The shoulder straps have extremely thick padding to keep you comfortable even with a heavy load. The belt and chest straps are well positioned and the belt is long enough for my 48 inch waist. The same cannot be said for many packs I've tried. If you have trouble finding comfortable backpacks because you're a really big guy, this is the one for you. Being such a big guy, my clothes take up a lot of space when packed. The main compartment has plenty of room to accomodate your needs.I love the molle webbing. If the two long side compartments and the three back compartments aren't enough for you, there's plenty of space to add custom pouches and accesories. If you add anything large or heavy like a long gun sheath, keep in mind that it will swing backward and forward unless the main compartment of the pack has enough cargo to fill out the space and give the pack body.You can be sure that when this world goes Mad Max, I'll be sporting this pack.

Great backpack, but it was much larger than I thought it would be. I got it to use as a school backpack, but I ended up using it only for hiking, and as a suitcase.
